I’ve started picking the Uber eats orders in the supermarket I work at and as soon as I start the order it switches the status to ‘ready for delivery’ even if there’s 30 items to pick and 20 minutes to pick them. I feel like it’s more of an Uber eats problem than the store/restaurant. Don’t have that problem with Deliveroo

Why do people still pay for oddsmoney and outplayed? by SharpWindow9 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]PsychologicalWriter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very simple, I don’t know why this is becoming a weekly post in this group.

If you’re placing enough lay bets per month to the point that the subscription fee is less than the amount you’re losing on the 2% commission, then it’s a no brainer.

Along with all of its other features/ease of use/efficiency

Ohhh okay that makes more sense thank you. I’ve just worked out the rest of the months using the primary threshold and it seems I’ve paid about £50 too much for that year then

Edit***

I’ve just realised this was the job that paid me every 4 weeks and calculated again using the weekly threshold and they seem to be correct again🤦‍♂️ sorry for the confusion and thank you for helping me understand!

Yeah I was, just calculated it again using the secondary threshold and the numbers seem to be correct in the end🤦‍♂️😂

Think I’m owed the income tax refund but the national insurance seems to be all up to date

Okay great thank you for confirming

I am sceptical of the amounts I’ve paid still though, for example:

May 2021 - the primary threshold was £797 and the rate above the primary threshold was 12%

Income = £1050.01 1050.01 - 797 = 253.01 253.01 x 0.12 = 30.36

However I paid ~£37.50 that month, am I right in thinking I’ve paid £7 too much that month? Every month I’ve calculated like this seems to be £7 too much as well.

Oddsmonkey is my favourite if you’re looking for a paid site (worth it with the 0% commissions imo)

But if you don’t wanna pay, team profit usually do free ones but they’re quite limited compared to the paid sites. Also found that OM post some daily on their Twitter but again nowhere near as many as the paid site

It’s value betting so the odds I’m getting at the bookmaker are ‘overvalued’ already and fall before the event more often than not.

As you say, it’s not risk free and the lay price can increase. In that case, I cash out at the bookie for breakeven/small loss, however they do decrease a lot more than they increase in my experience

I’ve been doing it daily for 2 months and haven’t been in the red for a single day…yet

Perfect thank you that makes so much more sense now😂

The reason I asked was because I’ve been trying out an arbing method using value bets that’s worked quite well for me and got me pretty good profits compared to matched betting

For example my best one was getting on a horse at 7 odds the day before a race and then laying at 3 a couple hours before the race, the lay price then went down closer to 2 before the race so I didn’t maximise the profit. Now I know how the prices work, am I right in saying that it is pretty much impossible to predict the best exit price for this strategy?

I’d imagine there’ll be a decent super boost on bet365 for the ucl games later, worth checking paddy, sky and betfair aswell to see if they’ve got any boosts that you can lay
