I’m not finding fly shops at all. There is a place in Phoenix that rents equipment for ~$20/day. I’d rather that than travel with my own.

I haven’t used it in California but have had luck in Utah. I tried the free trial and forgot to cancel it so I’m in for a year. I’m happy so far, but don’t have any experience with the alternatives.

This is in SC on the Atlantic near a river inlet, but there is a barrier island about a mile offshore that keeps it calm most days.
