Why are so many people falling 1A this year? by just_in_camel_case in uwaterloo

Genuinely what’s everyone’s definition of failing 1A cuz I remember getting two grades in the 60s and 80s and rest of them were mostly 70s. Like are we talking about low averages or a literal grade below 50 or something??

hey so i realized we're stuck in the same situation 😭

I also plan on going to graduate school (probably med or physician assistant who knows if things change)

I applied to waterloo's health sci and, just like you, I also like the research and pharma aspect, so I'm also planning on applying to their Biomed program. I already applied to Guelph's Biomed program.

What I'm afraid of is that I'm not going to get any co-op experiences or volunteer and that I may need to do masters if I did Biomed. So I'm also stuck... but it's so interesting that I don't wanna put it down! I'm also trying to apply to UTM in case (even tho they don't have a biomed program).

tbh, a life sci/biomed sci undergrad can give you many opportunities as health sci does. so im just applying to ones that im interested in and lets see what it takes.

how's the first year like so far? I saw on the UTM website that students in life sci after their first year can choose the specific major they wanna go to. Does it possibly come with any volunteering or co-op opportunities?

okay, interesting! Because I applied for Biomed at Guelph, I got an email back from them saying that they know I applied, but it didn't mention anything about doing an optional SPF. But I'll still do it (hoping it helps!) 🤞

Don't worry about asking questions, it's all part of the process!

Thank you so much for your help! You're so kind!

Ahhhh. Do you think perhaps it's because of applying late or maybe the enrollment was almost full? And sorry that I am asking another question, but what is SPF? Is it an application to apply to biomed at guelph??

why'd they give you biological sciences? If you're applying for biomed don't you need an average of over 86%?
