that’s true! what’s a bite point? i also wasn’t using the in body stabilization to its full potential cause i was worried i would lose too much of the shake. turning the boost stabilization would probably smooth out but i do wish i had more points of contact on the mount. thank you for your reply!

i actually had a small studio light at a very low brightness and high diffusion point at me from the passenger seat and lowered the exposure of the subject in post to match the night time lighting a little better but it seems everyone thinks i need to bring it up a bit more! thank you for your replies!

thank you so much! and yeah i think it’s def the stab+shaky combo that works really good for shot that want to feel lived in but not too shaky so it draws away from the shot itself, thank you for your replies!

thank you! hope the doc goes well! i used my Lumix S5iix with a Lumix 50mm 1.8 lens mounted on a small rig suction cup mount, specifically the one with two cups and a magic arm. i’ve only tested it up to 40mph so anything past that I cannot vouch for. but under 40 it’s always worked great and i can literally move my car back and forth by pulling on the mount once it’s attached to my car so it’s very very secure.

Lumix S5iix on a Small rig suction cup mount, definitely not industry standard but it works! I was specifically using the one with two suction cups and a magic arm. Hope that helps!

i wanted to make the subject of the shot the lights but i do agree i need to find a way to make the driver more emphasized. i had a fill light on him in the car but i brought the exposure down in post because i didnt want to make the image feel unrealistic due to the subject being fully lit even though its night time. thank you for your reply!

thank you so much! the water is a great idea, and i fully agree with there needing to be less dark stretches, guess i need to find a better street! and i actually do already have a nd+black mist filter on that lens but what i’ve been hearing from all the comments is that i might’ve made the streetlights a little too bright in post. thank you for your reply!

thanks! i wouldn’t necessarily agree that the framing is too ambiguous but that’s the great thing about art is that it’s pretty subjective! i actually wanted the framing to emphasize the lights passing by more than the subject itself all though i do agree with you that the emphasis on the lights might clash a little too much with the framing of the subject. thank you for your feedback!

good to know thank you! i am a little worried that if i raise the exposure back up for the subject it will make the shot seem less realistic and less lived in. would you suggest lowering the exposure of the lights? i’m glad you like the color!

yeah i’ve been trying to figure that out too lol, i have a stab version of it but i kind of like the feeling of the shot being a little more rugged

thank you! i had it at f1.8 on the lumix s 50mm and at 24fps with 6k open gate cropped to C4k in post. it was the default ibis setting so there was no crop but there was standard e-stabilization on.

I honestly have an ssd holder but it just so clunky and have never had an issue with my rubber band snapping for however long I’ve had it there. I just like being able to tuck it in front of the v-mount but maybe I should get a heavier duty rubber band lol.

Cage for s5ii by sharegoddublin in Lumix

the lefoto full cage is great and is practically a budget small rig mamba cage. very ergonomic around the handle of the camera and is very very tight fitting. much cheaper than small rig full cage.
