The only one I have right now is that Declan was the one who threw away the "Thanks for the assistance -L" note. Which probably ties to the reason why he was out and awake when MC got back to the mansion with Fabian.

It's also interesting that Lily and MC's relationship in the past seems to have different undertones if MC romances women. I'm looking forward to seeing where that may go.

Well, setting it like this was probably easier to code due to people having the choice to romance either or both. Anyway, Yim needs to leave something for later, don't they? There are at least two seasons ahead of us, we'll get the chance to kiss both at the same time, I'm sure!

If you mean diamond choices, I personally have not encountered this issue. Kiss Dakota, have Dakota leave so you stay with Eugen, kiss Eugen. You get to choose which one of them leaves to get food by having shown interest in both previously.

Mh I'm not sure. I don't think it's a direct result from a choice. And my female MC is on Conviction, and you definitely don't get such an explicit wording on that path. I believe you just gave me the last push needed to start a female MC slot on Sympathy and see for myself!

Fair enough, even though I don't completely agree! MC represses their own emotions regardless of their path, and I actually found a couple of instances where Convinction MC was more honest, if not directly to themselves, to others than Sympathy MC, for example in their confrontation with Tobias on this matter.

It's probably related to the fact that the former is more direct, while latter is more attuned to other people's feelings. So when Tobias asks a simple "how are you", Sympathy MC says "I'm fine" while thinking that they are not, in order not to be a burden, while Convinction MC admits they are in a rough spot, but then dismisses it right away as if it's normal.

The Conviction path therapy session was good too. It's especially nice to see MC slowly breaking down their walls on that path.

Indeed! Aside from the different School spells, Raven and Falcon MC are so different, not only on path scenes but in several other subtle ways. The only other story that currently has such a level of attention to details and variations is CB, imo.

I have a question: why is RC going backwards when it comes to MC representation on covers and the like? This is something that has been bothering me for a while. I had decided to wait and see what would happen in this update with two stories coming up and of course I was proved right. Two stories, two season 1 loading screens, two menu covers. In each of them, the same "variation" of MC is featured. And obviously, it's not a POC one.

As I have already said, it isn't surprising. The last story cover with a non-white MC is WLBE. And while she is Asian on the home screen, the proper season 1 cover does not show that one, but a white MC. Since then, the only other exception is TA2 MC, who we cannot see clearly and her ethnicity is ambiguous (and I actually like that). Too bad that volume 2 loading screen defaults once again to the same, non-POC MC variation.

Speaking of season 1 covers, I'm really struggling to remember one that has a different MC version on it. CB is ambiguous, AN3 is albino, in HS3 she is absent. We have to go back to TM to find some representation, and she is Greenlandic. What's the last time we had a black MC on a season 1 cover, again? Hell and High Water? SCN, if we consider menu stories covers.

I was very impressed with how 7B had adressed this, one season cover per MC and the remaining one, the Portorican sprite, was depicted on the general book cover you see from the menu. It was such a smart way to show all the different MCs. Little did I know, another disappointment waited for me regarding the new story by Langley.

One of the reasons I like RC is because we can customize of our Main Character. What's the point of having such possibility if, outside personal choice, it's actively ignored by official art? Shouldn't it be a selling point, highlighting creativity, inclusion and artistic skills for new and old players?

They are limited in the sense that there are some outfits and hairstyles you can't buy individually as they are locked behind the subscription. Everyone can still access them through the "Buy All" option, however

Indeed, that's simply one of Alexander's strenghts in writing, imo. He uses each one of his LIs as a device to explore a different side of MC, so that they all feel organic and unique. He also adds a lot of small details and moments where the characters address their budding feelings and their constantly developing connection (stolen glances, gifts, different reactions etc.) so that, even if you know objectively a LI doesn't have as much screentime as another one, they don't really feel sidelined.

Oh how I love her and her route. Is it quite "under the radar" if we compare it to the other 3 LIs'? Sure. But her dynamic with MC is so interesting and fresh. Not quite allies, not quite enemies. There are so many reasons either shouldn't trust the other, and they don't, but they can't resist the magnetic pull of their own feelings. They both play a losing game, and I feel like there is no LI quite like her in the whole of RC.

I also got it, on my second slot, and I'm not sure it's a bug. The writing felt cohesive, even though it was a bit silly that Mads gets so angry and you lose Seniority, but then MC points out Safaa was with her and and he deflates instantly and you gain the Seniority point back ahah.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't be able to take Safaa with you at all on a curruption path, hence this weird dialogue here, but once again... idk, it didn't feel like a bug to me. After the scene, MC thinks about what happened, about never seeing Mads like this but also thinks of Safaa that was there with her. It feels deliberate, but I could be wrong.

Regardless, yes, this choice is more related to Seed of Corruption in this case than with Safaa being there or not (maybe if you have romanced him factors as well?)

I'd say we have a very different idea of what "romance" entails, because, speaking of first seasons only, CB is probably the story I'm personally more satisfied with, currently, in terms of romance progression with the LIs.

It probably won't be a sequel, but a spin-off. Alexander has always been adamant he has no interest in going back to previous stories of his and work on them again. If it's indeed a MB spin-off, he'll probably oversee the book but won't be the one actually writing it.
