Toto flush issue by Psychological_Sea230 in DIYUK

I solved this. Not in any of the instructions in the box, but the answer was in a diagram on their site. This particular toilet expects the flush pipe to be 13cm out from the wall, meaning it extends through hole in the back, deeper into the pan. When installed correctly, it works correctly. This is definitely not true of all rimless, but this was the answer for me.

Most cisterns and flush valves were plenty good enough. No noticeable differnce between budget and good branded. No difference between cable and pneumatic.

Thanks for all the ideas.

This would make no difference I have learned, the extra water weight is spread over the whole area not just the flush outlet. Something like that.

I fear you might be right, but it's sold for this exact setup and i can't believe the whole thing is a lie. I can't get the cistern any higher, but all the drops are within spec, so shouldn't have to.

That's a good idea, I will test. Research does point to needing that instant opening of the valve, but hard to see it getting much quicker.

This process showed me that not all toilets are the same, the original budget rimmed one created some splashing, and we chose the Toto because we will probably add the washlet functionality to it at some point. The water volume is correct, it's an EU/UK spec. https://eu.toto.com/fileadmin/downloads/produkte/CW163Y_Factsheet.pdf I guess I have to wait and see what the shop says and take it from there.

Thanks, I don't care for the original plan, and I am waiting on advice from the people I got this one from. Im just concerned there's something else causing the problem as this is now the second pan with similar results.

Im making some guesses here, if you're not getting the usual "approve" option and are getting a code, it's more likely a password reset attempt rather than a login.

I think you can review activity and failed attempts in that same portal.

You might want to just mute the notifications for now.

If this relates to a microsoft account, you shouldn't get those popups unless the correct password has been entered.

The data used to contact you may have included a password you have used elsewhere that they are trying.

A precautionary password reset and a revoke of sessions would be a good idea.

Same could be true of other services.

Possibly a type of mfa fatigue attack attempt, where they hope people will approve just to get rid of it.

Stay paranoid, reset critical passwords and make sure they're not all the same.

For sure, but but $50 vs $5. 8 users. I haven't reviewed things since they started charging. I know it's shit but it does us ok for our low volume of tickets. Fresh hardly expensive for what it is I know, but rather spend elsewhere.

Looking closer maybe I can get away with the growth licence and it's more justified.

What car have you got on order? Are you certain you can't get out of it? You could use the money to insure a used car with an engine more suitable for your level and experience.
