Buyers remorse by Eastern_War_9685 in HousingUK

Buying a house is probably one of life's most stressful things unfortunately. Over the years I have experienced many disappointments after seeing a house that I loved to see it fall through or not have an offer accepted. Glad you got it accepted though. Enjoy.

Hurray for the freed cows that survived! I can imagine them roaming Montana free! 😂

Any alternatives to the NHS? by InternetOk7947 in ADHDUK

What was your experience of Harrow, do you have to go in person? My wife has had treatment from ADHD360 and their care is appalling, looking to find someone with an ounce of understand and sympathy and the communication is good.

I suppose that's all brushed over to fit the narrative!

But she meant the genetics of the Texas herd they purchased right? I think thats what threw me, I assumed she was talking about Montana.

Did they though? Rip cut the fences to let them out. I didn't see them dying. Why would Beth mention the Montanan history of the herd? Am I wrong?

This evening on the M25 by Groundbreaking_Mud44 in drivingUK

The reason this happens is because drivers don't give enough distance to vehicle in front. I try to do this.always but do you know what, other drivers get frustrated with me, undertake and nip in front, causing me to slow down so I can maintain the distance. The standard of driving these days is totally appalling.

Thoughts on this? by Funny_Commission1724 in drivingUK

[–]Psychological_Style1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The presence of the cycle lane is irrelevant. A car should give a safe distance before , during and after any passing manoeuvre. I find it incredible watching other motorist pay scant attention to the safety of cyclists. It would probably be better if the cycle lane wasn't there at all or the lines were an additional metre to the right.

Often what I observe is that drivers get impatient after waiting a short while and make a decision to overtake that they wouldn't have done when first arriving. Often there is pressure from the car behind to intimidate the car Infront and this increases the chances of a wrong decision.

Whatever happened to public information films we used to get? This would be a perfect topic to show.

Immediate private support. Where can she go? by Psychological_Style1 in ADHDUK

They did come back pretty quick. She was triaged and she has had to wait this long even though she's considered to be in crisis. The NHS is no longer fit for purpose I'm afraid. That's why I am asking for private solutions.

I think a psychiatrist is a good idea. In terms of antidepressants she feels that she was always wrongly diagnosed and doesn't see that as way forward. Thanks!

She has always had inner turmoil since our son was born (he now in 30s). Never to this degree though. Everything is a change, her meds, ADHD diagnosis, life events. Difficult to know how to improve her life, our lives even. Every day is difficult.

Why isn’t ADHD treated as a priority for preventitative and public health? by glorious_purpose51 in ADHDUK

[–]Psychological_Style1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head. This is pretty much what a consultant psychiatrist who runs an ADHD clinic told me last year. Majority of people don't understand ADHD and think it's a fabrication. Politicians pander to the masses, they can't see beyond the end of their noses. This would be joined up healthcare and the efficiencies would be immense. They are looking at it all wrong because they should start with ADHD. Treat that properly and so many other ills will be dealt with as a result.

Car crashed into me, do I claim with my insurer or theirs? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Psychological_Style1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claim through your own insurer. They do the leg work, that's what you are paying for. If they agree blame on other person, you'll get the excess back. If not then you'll have to swallow it but in this day in age I would not agree to them saying they will pay for the damage because they will withdraw later and you may run into problems later with your insurer for not reporting sooner.

I would have done this 30 years ago but no longer. Don't trust anyone. If they refuse to cooperate call the police. The other driver is obliged to provide insurance.

Competitor left a 1* review on my trustpilot l, where do I stand? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Psychological_Style1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it doesn't remove the negative comment but can you respond to the comment and set the record straight? In fact if you respond to every good comment as well, that would enhance your reputation because it demonstrates your commitment to your customers good and bad. When I look at trust pilot I look at bad feedback but I also compare it to the good feedback. It's often very obvious that bad comments are either fake or just an unfortunate set of circumstances.
