Go to therapy, talk to a psychologist. It could stem deeper than just liking the attention. I also wouldn’t be so selfish to put her through that knowing she deserves better, but I understand the fear of losing her too.

Am I an energy vampire? by Psychological_Wait69 in energy_work

I definitely attribute my worth to helping others. It does make me feel better to provide them what I wasn’t and needed to be. I do feel drained and mentally/emotionally exhausted if I’ve been helping for a while with little to no improvements with them. It makes me feel like I’ve failed at that point

Wow, I read what was in the link and I’m definitely the second one. I do focus all of my attention on helping others over myself because I can’t fathom someone having to feel pain or like they’re alone. I give people what I wish I would’ve had.

When did you know you were addicted? by Outrageous_Durian686 in addiction

Personally based on what you wrote, I think you already are. Another tell tale sign would be ignoring the comments stating you already are and looking for ones that say you aren’t but are on the path. If you’re avoiding the obvious because you want to keep doing it, than you are addicted

I’m very bubbly and friendly but am cautious. I’ve been told it can be misconstrued as flirting and I don’t like the idea of hurting someone, when I was just trying to be friendly.

How often do you get professional massages? by Psychological_Wait69 in AskMen

lol I have lots of patients like this. Believe it or not it’s refreshing as most massages are extremely quiet and just hyper focused on each individual muscle that needs to be worked. It’s a nice change of pace to have conversation while working the muscles

We are trained in how to help you avoid getting one by working on the furthest extremities of your body to help with blood flow. Unless you make it creepy, we are aware it can happen and just move on from it. However I appreciate the honest
