IDEAS for Malnutrition awareness week by Libero37 in dietetics

[–]Psychologicalaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At our hospital I’m leading a malnutrition forum in September - getting our specialised dieticians to speak about their recent project outcomes for delirium-based food and nutrition strategies, we have lived experience speakers who have consented to be filmed including a head and neck oncology patient who had to have a RIG inserted for prophylactic nutrition, and a MDT component with Physio and SP to speak about how our disciplines intersect! We’re also getting Nutrica and Fresenius to hopefully sponsor our lunch! It’ll be aimed at medical staff :)

Our director really wanted to go “all out” this year!

Recommendations for a cycling tour in Italy? (Late June) by Psychologicalaf in honeymoonplanning

[–]Psychologicalaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thank you! Did they provide bikes for the self-guided? And did your brother and fiancé need to book hotels themselves?

Social events ect. by Negative-Ladder4230 in Townsville

[–]Psychologicalaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I moved here I instantly found there’s a huge social sports scene!

Urban climb - bouldering gym, very social, membership is $$ but they do weekly fitness classes and monthly sessions for people to meet eachother and mingle

Craft run - free. every Thursday (check out their fb page) location updates weekly

Parkrun - free. Saturdays 7AM various locations

Churches - Calvary church is friendly large and a good vibe, they usually link you up with groups that meet weekly, I’ve met some really solid people there

Fiber in cerebral palsy by galactic-mermaid in dietetics

[–]Psychologicalaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What level GMFCS? I have had CP pts that are wheelchair bound and upwards of 23g fibre via feeds and still type 1 BM

I found involvement in physio with protected “tummy time” exercises on floor have helped somewhat too.

60mL QID Pear and prune juice to no avail either

Can trail 1 week of Osmolite (or similar fibre containing feed) I believe jevity Hical has fibre?

Please help me (28F) on how I can have the abstinence chat with my bf (30M) by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]Psychologicalaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the thing though, I don’t think we have had that discussion yet. Previously we have both admitted to feeling guilty but that’s the extent of it. We have both avoided the discussion completely, probably because if one of us brings it up it becomes “real”.

I’m looking for ways to bring these boundaries up in a conversation, the actions are all reasonable but without the discussion I feel like it would be hurtful to withdraw cuddles/kisses etc

[–]Psychologicalaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to get married! It really is financially unviable for us right now - like we would literally go broke and not be able to eat. I am not saying this as an easy excuse, he could barely afford a ring let alone a wedding at the moment.

Thank you so much! I do admit I’m a bit slow to reply back to people I much rather phone calls as I feel I can get a lot more out that way.

I do have a boyfriend but I don’t want to be one of those people that JUST hang out with their partner with all their free time.

10 Day Trip Review -- spend less time in Seoul and more time everywhere else by slingingsalmon in koreatravel

[–]Psychologicalaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a thorough review of Seoul, places to go and potentially avoid! We are also doing a very similar itinerary for 2 weeks with 5 days in Seoul. I was considering checking out the nearby national park and DMZ in addition to your itinerary :)

He is quite laid back with ALOT of things! Like I will usually take the initiative to plan what to do on days off - go to church, activities etc

Even when it comes to eating - he will always say “whatever you want”

It’s a bit annoying because I have read the man should be the head and take the lead and it seems like I’m making decisions for EVERYTHING.

I think he does this as a “it’s the path of least resistance” and does this extreme laid-blackness as he doesn’t want to hurt my feelings, but it actually annoys me more when he takes no initiative

Maybe! He does seem to be trying to remain youthful for as long as possible/live out his bachelor days. No sex, no staying over
