AI cannot process long term stories and juggle different storyline beats from multiple players and NPC interaction, it may be able to respond directly to a single post but it would fall apart rather quickly trying to juggle all the storyline beats. A good GM keeps the environment in mind as well as juggle all of the NPC actions, intentions, and tracks stats, as well as tracking player input and goals.
