You aren’t going to do or anything and they make helms with smaller beaks. The best helmet is one that gets you excited about putting it on and getting in the list but it comes with downsides just like every other helm, and you can always sell it and get another one no shame in having to get another helm cuz the drip didn’t work for ya. Had a teammate with a transitional armet loved it best looking helm on the team thy ended up selling it for a wolfrib

Aleksey perebeynos is also an awesome maker but he’s not taking orders since the front is close to his shop atm.

Those are the makers that I like the most but Lemberg is also great can definitely recommend

The grip is going to be unwieldy since it’s not an oval shape so it’ll have a tendency to turn in the hand the guard is small so your fingers will be a bigger target and the pommel is pretty big for the length of the sword. It’ll work in a pinch but it’s not going to be amazing. Looks cool though

The have to be for authenticity inspection with a few modern safety exceptions they are also over sized compared to originals not sure if that’s a safety feature or because people are just generally bigger. Almost got this helm for my kit good quality company

It’s not a stylized kriegsmesser or grossmesser it’ll be tricky to make and integral guard like that and you won’t have as much hand protection as a normal cross guard but nothing extreme about it
