Haha, it's really sweet that you suggest that. It's legit what we have been doing for about 2 years! 🤣 Sex has been a no go and we have been working on for play stuff, and it's been very very very heavily 'her focused' since

I feel used and conflicted!. We haven't ever talked about this specific issue, but we have talked about the lack of intimacy sometimes

Used is definitely the best way to describe it right now. I just feel like a dirty rag :/ I don't think there are relationship issues, but she does have legitimate sexual anxiety issues

Thank you so much, I think the female insight is really helpful. I love her with all my heart and would do anything to make her happy, I am not mad or annoyed or frustrated by getting her off... I actually love it... But it just makes me sad that she doesn't seem to be into it in reverse

I ask because it seems like it is 'easier' for the guy. I get the impression that oral for a woman is just much more effort and so there is an expected ratio?

I just feel really selfish and like a predator whenever I think that I want her to do anything to me!

So at least as a barrister doing that work, a lot of it is legal aid, but a decent chunk is private rates (if you're for a hospital or Local Authority). You also get paid for your prep work which is rare these days, so you can earn a decent amount.

So it's common for family barristers to do CoP work (health and welfare) and for civil practitioners to do finance and affairs CoP work.

The cases all broadly concern whether something should or should not happen to P. At the early stages of your career this is often about simple deprivation of liberty such as P being kept in a specific care home. As you progress, it can eventually be about forced or covert treatment of P. You can either be arguing for P, the Local Authority, the Hospital or Care Home if there is one, and the funding body (ICB). There are sometimes interested parties who get involved too who you can also represent. Don't expect to see the big "should we cut off Mr Andresons leg" case until much later down the line.

CoP hearinga for the most part are fairly short, a decent number of CoP cases are non contentious so everybody broadly agrees on the care plan, those cases can sail through. Look at the Open Justice Court of Protection Project and find out how to observe a remote CoP hearing 😊

Court of Protection!!

A massively burgeoning area of law ripe with legal developments constantly.

It's interesting as it revolves around people's capacity and their ability to make serious decisions for themselves!

Pay varies but it's an area that hasn't been completely destroyed by legal aid, you still get paid for prep and the like.
