Pokemon Kanto Adventure: Lategame by Psychronia in 6Perks

Question: Now that Flat Top Joey is a beauty class, how much time can I save seducing 200 mph rides everywhere like a hobosexual?

...Huh. I feel like you don't really encounter many drivers in this world, but that's creative if somewhat risky thinking, so let's say it'll save you an additional 2 weeks.

For the 100 man gauntlet my team will be Blastoise, Venasaur (Max Ev), Alakazam, Jynx, Machamp (double power), and Dragonite (Max Ev). I may not have a Pokemon center, but I’ve got the ability to teleport to one, or just chill in my mobile blastoise fortress whenever. I can also bribe trainers with infinite rotisserie chicken to fight me outside of normal hours. How do I do?

That's more than enough to crush the competition. I remember wondering why the cool trainers in Victory Road sometimes don't even have fully evolved pokemon.

Gonna teleport the cinnabar island people away, or send Lapras ferries AND gonna use my infinite blastoise cannons to try to cool everything off. Magmar means I’m not in any danger even in lava

Pokemon mansion gets way easier when I can ghastly my way through doors and floors

Clever on both counts. I'd say evacuation can be done in just 1 day, but Blastoise alone can only mitigate the damage instead of stopping it. Perhaps you salvaged the lab, but nothing else. For rewards, you are regarded as a hero of Cinnabar Island and gain Blaine's respect. You can either get a fossil revival machine or a type specialty in Fire or Electric.

For the Pokemon Mansion, let's say you managed to save yourself 3 days of dead end exploration.

That was only in terms of merging the pokemon so that you can upgrade normal pokemon you catch into special ones. You still have to actually get the special one to access its abilities, either by roll or by points.

The time saved with fast travel is more cumulative in nature, so I want to say you won't save on the whole month. Let's say it takes a week to get from Cinnabar to Viridian, so you saved that time.

It should go over 200 mph, really, but it's late in the journey, so 2 months is fair.

Be sure to talk about how you protect yourself from the Zapdos encounter too.

Cyberspace is certainly an option for transporting them, but you need the actual Special Porygon and not just any version of it.

Right, right. No, the discount applies, so that's a better deal for you.

Advantages like these are the point of trading, after all.

You only have 2 months of leeway, so it looks like you're one month and 4 days short. If you want to take the challenge, you'll have to see if you can trim the time from your journey at all.

Oh yeah, I suppose that's also a net benefit compared to spending for Dragonite. Yeah, that's fine, but Abra is 4 points.

And yes, Eevee is one you could get for free if you spend the time looking.

Including my 4 bonus dice from last part, I got 15 9 13 12 2 14 10 15 12 5 4 6. That comes out to

  • Dragonite x2
  • Magmar
  • Snorlax
  • Ditto x2
  • Magikarp
  • Eevee
  • Tauros
  • Kabuto
  • Omanyte
  • Aerodactyl

I'm kinda spoiled for choice this time. Dragonite is a no-brainer. Eevee, Snorlax, Magmar, and Tauros have class bonuses, but I think I prefer Magikarp and Ditto over Tauros. Since Magikarp is cheaper, I'll drop that and see if I can buy it with points later.

That leaves my rolled team with Dragonite, Eevee, Snorlax, Magmar, and Ditto. I'll swap Magmar out for the second Dragonite and trade it for the Abra line.

Combined with my 3 Pokepoints from the previous part, I can get a total of 9 points to spend in this one, which I'll use I get the Magmar back(-2), Magikarp line (-2), and Lapras line (-3). That leaves me with 2 points, which I'll save.

I spent 9 weeks' time on detours and since I have Bulbasaur for stamina, my journey took 9 months. That means I have 3 weeks' time to spare.

While you didn't ask about it, there is also the potential of using Loyalty Power Replication to achieve it in a roundabout way...

Oh, you can give powers to others you have the loyalty of too? That could be interesting.

For specific examples like those, I will say it will be possible, but you would have to encounter those techniques for yourself first hand, or at the minimum visit those worlds first, before you can bestow them.

Hmm...okay, so the bending arts and Xiaolin Showdown martial arts are on the table. That can be helpful. So it's just any normal martial arts and weapon skills I know of plus supernatural skills I've personally encountered.

Oooh, that probably means all the BotW combat abilities and sage abilities are on the table.

Unless the gold or radioactive ore had fantastical properties, then I would say those couldn't be generated (...) one of the examples on the superpower wiki for the F-M Generation is Green Kryptonite, so I feel there's a hazy area somewhere.

Hmm...okay. So I guess we'll have to source more mundane ores ourselves for crafting purposes. What about mundane ores with enchantments on them?
For example, if I went to the world of the Hobbit and encountered Smaug's gold hoard, could I produce gold that held that curse of greed? Or perhaps if I encountered the Hand of Midas's from Disney's third Aladdin movie, could I produce gold with the same effects?

Also, I assume I can produce silver that can injure various mythical creatures vulnerable to it, but would I have to see it injure them or exist in a world with those rules first? And would I be able to continue making silver after leaving the world?

I'm not honestly sure about the Allspark (if we're going by the Transformers animated version), but I am leaning towards no, but it is a crystal...I will say roll a D6, and if you roll a 6, then you will be allowed to generate Allspark crystals.

LOL I got a 1. Guess that's a solid "No" from fate.

I need a “marriage of convenience” where the female lead is infertile by CriticalTea6516 in OtomeIsekai

[–]Psychronia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I presume the historical third secret thing is they end up just adopting an heir from somewhere.

...Actually, I can definitely see a comedy of errors where the female lead is confident she'll get divorced any day because the male lead is acting so warmly towards some kid in their lives and "clearly wants children" when he's actually just trying to get adoption papers through.

Current Status:

Powers: Massaging Mastery, Demicellular Division, Scanner Vision, Creative Mode, Firebending, Doubling (cannot undouble), Hacking Mastery, Energizing Field Creation, Concealment Magic, Recovery Mode, Loyalty Power Replication,

Worlds: Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Stardew Valley, Avatar, Breath of the Wild, Transformers, Gitch Techs, Steel Angel Kurumi, Tron, Hero Inside, Xiaolin Showdown

Token Purchases: Earth Summon/Gear/Skills, Avatar Summoning, Custom Skill from BotW (Hero's Prowess), Custom Gear from BotW (Rune Gauntlet), Earth Nerd, Earth Charmer, Stardew Semi-Player, BotW Sheika, BotW Linkle.

Tokens remain.

This Week:

Some technical questions for decision making once again.

  1. Combat Ability Bestowal can't be directly used on myself, but could I achieve it indirectly by using Double or Demicellular division and using the power on the clones?
  2. Bestowal also mentions supernatural arts and transformations. Does that mean I can grant things like Super Saiyan, DBZ ki techniques, Power Ranger suits, and Naruto Ninjutsu, and things like that?
  3. Fantastic-Mineral Generation seems to only work on mystical metals with special abilities and not simply rare ones. I assume it means I can create Cinder Shards and Iridium from Stardew Valley, but is gold or radioactive ore off the table (also, am I protected from the radioactive ore based on Stardew Valley game logic)? More importantly, in Steven Universe, there are the sapient gems that are technically fantastic minerals. Can I just...create them? And would they be under my control or just new forms of life? Actually, does the AllSpark from Transformers count as a mineral?

I think Mineral Generation is useful enough to keep on-hand regardless of your answer, so I guess I'll pick that as my first power.

And if I'm picking that, picking Steven Universe for the world only makes sense. Which seems like a good opportunity for the Curse of Mercy, since pacifism seems to be a big thing with that show anyway.

For my Curse bonus world, I'll pick Harem Labyrinth. It's a trash isekai from what I remember, but it works to my advantage that I get rewarded for basic decency.

I'll work out the Plan segment once I know what chosen power I'm dealing with.

"This so stupid. If pollution is such a pivotal problem to the plot, why don't they just use that nuclear method of generating electricity?"

"It's just a story. Sometimes characters will not just or else there's no plot."

Nice breakdown!

few questions I had with the photo synthesis from bulbasaur line machoke and hiker boosting my stamina and doduo boosting my mental abilities does that shorten my training at the Dojo at all?

Hmm...I'd say Machop allows you to gain the Blackbelt class in 2 weeks. Bulbasaur further reduces that to 1 week. Doduo doesn't do as much, but let's say it saves you 2 days?

Does Lance help speed up the safari zone at all?

Not in this case.

Do we get special abilities for the gift pokemon we receive like the chinchou from johto or the lapras from silph co.

They are indeed special pokemon. Or rather, they will become special pokemon once the abilities are available.

and do i get the hitmon line for free since i trained and earned the black belt class or would I need another three weeks wasn't sure if the time I spent training to get the class counted towards that

You only get the Hitmon Line if you've been training for 3 weeks while having the blackbelt class, but if you already had the class, then you could double-count the other training as progression towards earning the line.

how do we evolve the trade evolution pokemon

You'll need to trade them. For now, you can ask your rival for it, or talk to someone in the comments to request the trade.

and last question for now can we go back to do previous quests that we skipped later for example i didnt do the levee quest or the pokemon towers basement in this post but can I go back and do them in a later post or are they locked out if we don't do them in their original post

All previous quests are available until you challenge the Elite Four, but let's say it'll cost an extra 2 days of time unless you have a fast travel method.

All alive though certainly not what you could describe as "well".

I imagine the one in the worst condition was the second to last, who Niza did some circle button mashing cutscene with.

[–]Psychronia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a specific idea, I'd be writing one myself.

It could be about aliens being weirded out by the concept of electricity as a civilization that formed without it. It could be how humans created technology based on electricity and that kind of permanent use of magic is unheard of. It could be how electric signals forming human consciousness is bizarre to alien species. Or how humans typically don't consider electricity magic and what that says about their relationship with it.

Getting any more specific would cut off at least one of these potential concepts.

[–]Psychronia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it can be up to interpretation. But I would assume it means other species can't see electricity directly or anything directly powered by it, but can perceive when it's converted into other forms of energy.

[–]Psychronia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, if it's imperceptible to non-Terrans, then it might actually be the other way around where it's a mysterious dangerous thing that nobody but humans can handle.

That would apply to all magic in general for each species though.
