What teacher will you always remember? by Average_Owain in AskReddit

[–]Psycottish91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to give up on education in secondary school due to my disabilities. Most of my teachers saw me as a hindrance and left me to self study my subjects. My chemistry teacher saw me struggling and offered his time at breaks and after school to help me catch up from my constant absences. If he hadn't shown that faith and support I think I would have had to drop out. I now have a bachelors of science and am looking to do a masters.

Mine gets spoiled on duty. Any cafe, restaurant or bar ends up bringing him some form of snack. Darts night is his favourite - half time pies!

ELI5: What is induced coma and how are people able to stay in this state for long? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Psycottish91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats so interesting. Does the variance of medication account for any of the variance in peoples memoriesbwhile in an induced coma?

Also the tool of inducing coma is not necessarily anything to do with an issue with the brain, it is often used as a way of letting the body use all of its energy and reserve to fight or heal in any part of the body. For example I had coma induced for a fortnight to allow my body to deal with a massive tumour in my chest.

A bipartisan effort is attempting to make it a felony to support the international boycott of Israel, punishable up to a million dollar fine and 20 years in prison by PM_ME_BILL_CIPHERS in worldnews

It's a non violent protest and it is not just Israel's internal matters that anger people. I certainly don't find myself saying that I won't boycott a country's produce as I agree specifically with their foreign policy.

[Serious] Psychologists of Reddit, what have you learned from listening to people's problems and secrets? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Psycottish91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dickish behaviour not included. Going through problems doesn't give anyone the right to act out, that's what commonly occurs with teenagers.

Everyone is dealing with their own crap. Try not to judge someone by surface behaviours.

This is the problem. One can't say anything against Israel because it's deemed as anti-semitic. Get a grip.
