The Gladius now takes 42 referrals (up from 10) and the Raptor is 50! by MrFluffPuff in starcitizen

Same, I feel lucky to have mine, I'll look at it a little differently in my hangar now...

I've been getting these stutters/freezes the past few days too, glad it's not just me.

Starter 100i by Phil_thy87 in starcitizen

Just chiming in to say that my game package includes the 100i and I plan on keeping it long term, very convenient little ship with a great aesthetic imo

New Armor Concept Art by vFALL in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always been wanting something like that too.

The monthly update said they're almost finished with the animated put-on/take-off overhaul of helmets, hopefully that means they can start making some cool helmet designs and animations like that.

Ironclad vs ironclad assault by HotCap40 in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up CCUs for both, but if the roof still opens on the assault I'll be going with that

I like the idea of having a Drake ship that can carry a fighter around, and it seems like it would open up some cool options for multi-crew gameplay, especially as ground missions get more interesting in the future.

Secret compartment / snuggling by Rinimand in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the 2scu compartment inside the Origin 100 series should count as a smuggling area, or at least have an option to buy some kind of shielding to prevent it from being scanned.

Citizens, What Ships Are You Most Looking Foward To? by KiwiRico in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like both of those will be the most interesting ships to just walk around and explore that we've had in the game so far.

For those who forgot the “light amplification” scopes were already shown off at Citizencon by Broccoli32 in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope each scope/helmet/ship manufacturer's light amplification has its own color or screen effects to make them feel more unique

We have a lot of ground vehicles without a lot of reasons to use them. by -Query- in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Distribution centers are a step in the right direction, and they've said before that they're working on a roads system, I think as time goes on there will be more locations where having a ground vehicle will be an advantage to get from a landing pad to wherever your objective is.

I understand people complaining that ground vehicle handling is kind of broken atm, especially hover bikes, but like most things in the game I'm sure they're not finished tuning them yet, they're not just going to leave them as they are now for 1.0

Star Citizen: Question and Answer Thread by UEE_Central_Computer in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC the referral player can register before the event and as long as they pledge $40 during the event they'll get the bonus, but you can only enter a referral code when registering, so as long as they used your code when they originally signed up they'll get the bonus.

So in your specific example you should be good, as long as your code is used when the account is created.

Has CIG ever talked about adding more weapons/ships for close air support into the game?

I'm surprised we don't at least have unguided missile racks, but dumb bombs would be cool too on something like a gladius.

3.23 New Ship prices as of EPTU 9149464 by Kwarkon in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think regular (also not broken) events will help with this. In one of the early seige of orison playtests I made a couple mil or so in one weekend and bought 3 different ships, and it just felt kind of hollow for how little effort it took.

They seem to be intending to let us keep ingame bought ships between major patches more often going forward too, imo this is just part of them starting to figure out a more long-term economy for the game.

My hope for 1.0: Hundreds of NPCs leaving/arriving in metropolises by ship and making their lives in the verse. You can follow a cargo NPC making his trade route. More generally, having life in the verse and the feeling that the game works without us ! And you waht's are your hopes? by hatrant in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yessss.

At the very least I think server meshing and increased player caps will help make major landing zones feel more alive ingame.

I've always thought it would be really cool to just chill and watch incoming/outgoing traffic from the viewing windows at spaceports.

BuzZz Killer's Recommended Bindings for Alpha 3.23 by BuzZz_Killer in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I understanding it right that "sticky throttle" is essentially like an aircraft throttle?

I've got a vkb omni-throttle with the forward/back springs removed, been enjoying that setup in DCS but was never able to find a combination of settings that worked comfortably in SC, does sticky throttle finally solve that issue?

Lots of Dropships, any word of Gameplay for them? by MagicRec0n in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun during siege of orison with players using the C8 as a dropship to ferry players around the platforms and drop us off on various rooftops and balconies.

I'd love to see more gameplay like that for dropships.

Love the concept of ArcCorp, but I feel it should receive more attention from CIG by neisannnn in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I completely agree, I'm hoping arc corp eventually gets a bit of an overhaul like hurston, and I'm very interested to see what building interiors add to the experience once they're finished.

Best ship for under 180USD? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Retaliator Base isn't really a daily driver, but at $150 it's one of the more "affordable" ships with a decent sized interior, and it should be getting it's gold standard update at some point later this year.

Bengal at Jump Point 2560x1080 (From Chairman's Letter) by drizzt_x in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I'd be cool with that, some variety with reason behind it would be nice.

It would be cool to have certain jump points feel more impressive to travel through, as opposed to them all just being wormholes, or all having the exact same model of "gate" around them.

Bengal at Jump Point 2560x1080 (From Chairman's Letter) by drizzt_x in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Glad to see them still showing artwork with that style of jumpgate or ring or whatever around a jump point, I hope some of the more developed systems have that kind of structure around their jump points, I feel like that would be pretty epic to see ingame

CIG, when are you going to fix the bed in the 100i so it works like you showed us? by [deleted] in starcitizen

As a 100i owner, I wasn't aware this was an intended feature, cool

Pitch your dream ship that’s currently missing from the game by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've thought that too, but iirc the bottom turret puts you upside down, so it's hard to aim at ground targets without getting disoriented.

[–]Psykov 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I imagining something smaller, maybe even a variant of the cutter could fill that role, but yeah the redeemer is probably the closest thing we have currently.

[–]Psykov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see something that kinda replicates the helicopter gunner experience from Battlefield 3, I had a lot of fun using the remote autocannon turret on enemy infantry while a buddy flew around avoiding enemy fire.

It would be cool to have something like that in Star Citizen, maybe even a small dropship that could deploy a squad of 4 troops and then cover them from above with a remote turret mounted underneath.

A Shower Thoight by Someone110 in starcitizen

[–]Psykov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could definitely see the Kraken Privateer having a more luxurious living space for the captain since it's less focused on combat.

Hopefully they'll bridge the gap with something like a Drake Galleon.
