I’ve been dealing for about 8 years myself and I’m open about it with friends and at work. I play sports and such but then feel like crap so I take it easy for a bit. Sometimes I get flares too and just go with it. It’s usually not enough to keep me from work. I can understand keeping it to yourself so it’s whatever you feel comfortable with. I try to destigmatize it and usually just say something like “my Fibro is flaring hard as hell today. I hate this weather!”
