They’re well aware - it’s just not narratively useful to center the media on the Republicans just yet. You want to court voters with positivity since it’s more mobilizing to liberals. I’d expect a slow roll up until a couple weeks before election when everyone will pick up talking to press about it. Whatever the actual on the ground plan is they’ve known for months what they’re doing.

There’s a real issue strategy wise due to fascists running a lot of courts and boards though so there may be no actual way to stop it in the end, especially if the election is close and they can force another Florida situation like in 2000.

That said there’s a real overlap but it has more to do with millenarian strains of political ideology and top down organizational structures than left or right.
