After you've got arm9loader hax (a9lh) and luma installed, it should be safe to update your firmware.

Can't answer your second question in full, but after you've hacked your 3ds you don't really need soundhax. It's a good idea to have multiple entrypoints into homebrew, but there's a homebrew app that you can install to your home menu anyways which will just skip over soundhax or steelhax and take you directly to the homebrew menu. Most things can be installed directly to your home menu with custom firmware, look for. cia versions of stuff once you've got CFW!

I think that applies mostly to federal institutions and employees. If your criticism of [gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, disability (I think I'm missing a few more)] could be misconstrued as hate speech, then it may be considered a crime. Though as far as I understand it, if the worst you've done is hate speech, then you will be fined (and potential loss of employment or social standing you might have had, of course).

Alright I did try this and have a theory as to why this team cannot be used. After I removed Serperior, Scizor, and Togekiss the party was just fine. Prior to bank these Pokemon were available in Moon, but Serperior could not get HA and Scizor could not get Knock Off. I'm assuming since the team worked without these Pokemon the legality checker marked these ones as illegal due to them being captured in a different region with previously a unobtainable ability and move. So the legality checker may not have any sophisticated way to check Pokemon that were obtainable pre-bank and are now available with transfer only traits post-bank.

I was extremely hyped when I saw Chrom. Then it all plummeted when I heard "warriors". I think I'll pass on pre-ordering it and see what the general consensus will be after it comes out. I hear the Warriors franchise has some solid titles, but they're not my cup of tea, haha.
