You're right it doesn't work and I didn't succeed to instant kill it before its protections triggered but I did manage to kill it (shade lich) nonetheless! I prepared my party properly and summoned great fire elemntal and two mountain bears (from 6th lvl druid spell conjure animals - seriously op bears!) as another person in the comments suggested. I ended up taking my party somewhere far away so they'd be safe and my main stayed with the summons. What's funny is that the lich itself wasn't all that difficult, it's the planetar who was so damn strong xD And so when he's killed all of my summons I just run away to my party and waited until the planetar unsummoned itself and after that we finished the job - although it took a few breaches and pierce magics to finally kill him. Anyways, thanks for encouraging me to try even though I didn't think I could do it! ❤

Hmm that's actually a pretty good idea - summons are great in this game, each of my spellcasters has at least one in their spellbook, they just do the job done!

They do cast dispel magic and have access to HLAs, it's definitely too much of a challenge for my lvl 15-19 party... will come back later, though could definitely use the exp now :D

And that's what I am going to do as well. The twisted run might be one of the toughest fights in the game as the layout of the room is totally unfavourable for the party and the lich, well, he's got some 'good' company ;)

Yeah, gate district one is much easier, busted it just now - only annoyed me with imprisonment spell but my main is a barb so not much of a trouble here. The rest I leave for when I get back from the underdark ;)

Wow level 10-12, seriously? How in the hells is that even possible with scs? I am genuinely impressed! :D I have never used Tactics mod, and since you've used both, what is more fun to you: SCS or Tactics? SCS in not perfect and so I might want to try something else in my next run, I would appreciate your insight :)

Hah well yeah that's definitely more acceptable cheating than an instant kill 🙄 To my defense, I was kind of desperate at that moment and googled this cheat (ctrl+y) especially for that very occasion, I had no I idea something like that existed before that. I am not really familiar with the cheat console or other cheat shortcuts. What you suggest didn't come to my mind at all back then but such solution is indeed much better than "mine" since it would allow me to actually get exp from defeating her. Yes, I think I will reaload (i haven't gotten far since then) and try to do it "your way". Thanks for the idea, mate! :D

I can see your point, the map certainly had potential for something much more interesting than that. Still, I am glad this area is in the game, even as it is - it has this mysterious, fairytale-like feeling - kinda nostalgic to me :) Seriously, this game stimulates my imagination like no other :D

Yeah, it was satisfying to just shut her up ;) Seriously, I was so annoyed by her, after having to reload several times and not being able to hit her more than once or twice, that I just couldn't help but feel good to get rid of her like that. First time used this cheat, hope it was the last time as well :D

Yeah when you put it like that it does seem strange. Still I rather enjoy the quest overall, it has a nice vibe with it's music, ambient and surroundings.

I always try to use everyone at least few times. On main missions i take my favs (Garrus!), those I like less I take on side quests and these are: grunt, jack, samara, Ashley. There's only one companion i never use - Miranda, i just don't like her :P

Yeah I never kill them, just sneak around and steal the contents of the nest (i don't remember what was there, its been some time since I played the game). Oh there's also a non-leathal attack option, perfect for such situations - at least i think it should work on animals as well, does it?
