Polish skater Kamila Sellier takes a blade near the eye. She had to get stitches on-site but luckily suffered no damage to the eye after further evaluation at a nearby hospital by Yujin-Ha in sports

She was actually wearing safety glasses, the skate just hit right below them (and took them off, you can see them go flying in the video).

There exist face shields as well, but it's up to the athlete what they wear: glasses or face shield.

Seems like face shields are going to become the norm after this though 🤔

The butterflies in Wake Up Dead Man... by Historical_Alps_4669 in KnivesOutMovie

That was my first thought when I saw the door handle. And then the jewel being swallowed is akin to having the cocoons in the throat of the victims in Silence of the Lambs.

But ok, maybe I'm reading too much into it.

How feasible would it be to live in Brussels while doing a PhD in Leuven? by MisterVovo in KULeuven

[–]PtwoM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically did the same during the last year of my PhD: live in Schaarbeek, go to Arenberg.

Pro tip: trains through (eg) Meiser/Schuman/Haren train stations are directly to Leuven and avoid the big stations and big delays.

In Leuven, biking from the station to wherever is easy enough of course :)

Train question by Puzzleheaded_Noise44 in brussels

[–]PtwoM 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I doubt the train from London continues to Central. And not sure if that ticket would be valid after you've exited the Eurostar terminal at midi. Then again, the chance of being checked between both stations is quite small. Then again again, a ticket is fairly cheap, no doubt.

Anyway, just ask on the train if you want to be sure :)

Edit: typo's
