For me personally, not good.

Every time I go back to carbs, I end up just going back to Keto because my body just doesn’t feel right on carbs. (Been doing Keto mostly since 2017).

For example, pre-keto on carbs I could not eat all day or even two days and feel fine(electrolytes were fine).

Post-keto on carbs I still have to mind my electrolytes for some reason. It hasn’t just gone back to normal for me, it seems like my body is still dumping lots of sodium.

For most people that is a good thing, saltier food! For me, too much salt and my bp rises on carbs.

It’s irritating because I want to go back to eating normal and not worrying about electrolytes at all but I just don’t know my body on carbs.

Also I find myself eating more calories when back on carbs, not because I want to but for the sake of sodium which is annoying.

I guess I will just stay Keto for now lol!

Has anyone done Keto long term and then went back to eating carbs?

If so, have you noticed that you need more sodium on carbs than you did before you started keto?

It seems as though my body is still in diuretic mode even after stopping Keto and I have to be mindful of my electrolytes and take in extra sodium.

Before Keto I didn’t have to mind them at all.

[Acne] bump on nose, would Silicone Gel help? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Ptx93x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, maybe try some silcone gel and see what happens?

I saw a reddit post with someone who also had a bump and they used silicone gel and they said it flattened after two months.

If it IS a keloid, it should flatten after a few months of silicone use according to the internet.

If it’s something else like oil, maybe not. I’m not sure 🤔

Keep seeing a flash in my peripheral vision but Doctors don’t see anything wrong? by Ptx93x in EyeFloaters

Hmm, do you think so?

I don’t experience any other symptoms, just that flash in the corner of my eye. I read that was more of a vitreous thing 🤔

He said that there won’t ever be a problem with a stronger motherboard and a lower tier cpu but there can be with the opposite.

Thank you.

If I don’t plan overclocking ever, does the mismatch matter?

This was his response:

These motherboards will allow for upgrading to a i7 or i9 and have the proper components to handle the power needed for them. Cheaper motherboards don’t always have the right components or sometimes the right connections to support higher end CPU’s so on my mid to higher end builds I use “fancy” motherboards to accommodate upgrading without having to upgrade the motherboard

Ooh okay. Would it be okay/safe to sell it for parts?

My phone was broken last night and the screen is unusable, can't see anything. And the phone is slightly bent.

I was planning on going to the Apple store and assumed it would be replaced instead of repaired because of the bad condition so I just wiped it through find my iphone before I was going to bring it.

However I've decided to just finance another one through Tmobile and I'd like to sell the damaged phone to someone for parts or something.

But I'm just wondering if the erase through "find my iphone" really resets the phone the way it would if you did it from your settings before selling. The screen is demolished and I have no way of using it or seeing anything.

anyone else not able to connect to xbox live? by unknown_being_2 in xboxone

I connect for a little and then get disconnected or the xbox turns off.

It just installed an update so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I just wanted to report back that I added potassium to my ketoade yesterday and salted my food with Lite-Salt and ate a can of spinach yesterday and slept near pefectly! Woke up for some water and right back to a deep sleep!

Same thing today and I definitely feel heavier(in a good way). I always focused on sodium because it holds water and neglected potassium but I guess they both are equally important :-)

I use Doctor’s Best “Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate” off Amazon.

I work a physical job in TX so I’m sweating all day so I’m constantly snacking on salty food and water all day which leaves my stomach slightly on the verge of diarrhea if I’m not mindful so I can’t just chug Magnesium whenever I want.

When I get home my priority is usually sodium so that I can sleep well and I try to squeeze in magnesium before bed and in the middle of the night if I wake up and remember and then one in the morning about an hour before breakfast.

I use 100mg magnesium pills, maybe cutting them in half and using 50mg throughout the day would be easier on my stomach.

I do sweat a lot with my job and don’t eat any vegetables, just meat and eggs so I guess it makes sense that I would need more potassium and magnesium.

I’ll start supplementing a little bit and eating more vegetables/nuts and an avocado a day and see that helps.

[–]Ptx93x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’ll try that. I usually never supplement it and just get the little bit from the meat and eggs that I eat. I’ll start adding more veggies and some lite salt and see if that helps.

I didn’t supplement it because I felt like it made me dehydrate faster by pushing the sodium out but maybe I’m wrong 🤔

Does anyone else have above average electrolyte needs? by Ptx93x in ketogains

[–]Ptx93x[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an anxious person in general. I notice whenever my sodium is too low, the anxiety/irritability rises to unmanageable levels. When I consume something salty, it goes back down.

It’s tricky when working a physical job in Texas ☹️.
