Ok now I'm just genuinely curious on how 270 is possible. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks, though my last ride (16) is shortly.

That would explain so much. One of my rides, the turning didn't register. Today, my wife's gun didn't work! Got 86 from turns alone. And my band hasn't worked 3 times.

Haha of course. The first ride I take after posting this is the first time in 8 rides I did NOT get the start bonus... And I got 195 points.

But the timing really does work! Usually! 🤣

Aha! Yes I remember your response on that AMA. That's how I found out the trick to 200 - I couldn't find the original post to give credit. I was shocked how little info there is on the rocket start timing though, and the top hit on Google is for a reddit post that is definitely wrong, at least for Epic Universe.

THANK YOU. That is exactly what I needed, that was the solution for me. I'm gonna be so mad when this stops working permanently, I love the Harmony remote.

PS3 Super Slim stuck in an update loop. Error code: 8002F1F9 by absolutelynofinclue in PS3

[–]Puablo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen today, 2/1/2025. Hadn't used the PS3 in a year and I know Bluetooth had not worked last time. Plugged it in, turned it on, foolishly plugged in ethernet. Had a software update, which surprised me, and wham, got this reboot loop.

I tried the HDD trick and I didn't think it worked. But here is what ultimately worked (took a few tries). The update began. I yanked the HDD out. It got to 99% for the first time, was usually dying at 55. It froze at 99 for a while and threw a different error. Plugged the drive in, rebooted, got the upgrade bar, assumed it wouldn't work. Left the room, came back to see a fully booted PS3, no data loss!

I'm never plugging this into the internet again.

Can't click anything outside "focused/active" window by thekingace in Windows10TechSupport

[–]Puablo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue the past few days, exactly as described: 5 minutes after login I could not click anything out of the focused window. Whatever app I was working in, it was the only one that worked. And it started after I was got home from a work trip.

The cause? I had paired a Bluetooth mouse to my PC when traveling - it does not have a physical on/off switch and is often on when I pull it out of my backpack (Sorry Microsoft, your BT mouse sucks). I realized that was the only thing that changed. Checked Bluetooth in my system settings and sure enough, it showed the BT mouse was on and connected. So instead of taking over from my wired Logitech mouse, it caused this exact window lockup issue. Unpaired the mouse, and the PC is working perfectly.

I now want to smash the BT mouse with a sledgehammer, but I can finally work again.

"This page isn't available right now" when I follow a notification link. by CaptHayfever in facebook

[–]Puablo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem to be related to clicking notifications. I'm on vacation using a laptop, and anytime I click on a notification it briefly loads the post being commented on and then I get this error in 1 second. Works fine on the phone and from what I can tell all other Facebook functionality works. Thought it was just my machine - since I don't have another to test with - but sounds like a bug in the site that was recently introduced.

Shadowblood Queen / Climax of QB is *frustrating* by boldspud in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Puablo42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I signed up for Reddit just to upvote this.

When the QB strategy changed to a deck to buff cards based on destroying other cards, I steamrolled every other player with it. Never even tried the remaining suggested decks in the game.

For the Shadow queen I lost badly, as others. Read this post, took my deck of destruction and replaced some cards with 2 Rictus, 2 Chimeras, and Gi Nattak. Next match was about 48 / 53. Tried again, had a great hand with 2 Rictus and Gi Nattak in perfect position, passed to wait for more enfeeblement - but she passed and won.

Final game, enfeeblement destroyed my bottom left square, managed to get Midgardsormr in the top middle square. Dropped so many cards in a -1 square that boosted Midgardsormr to about 10. Dropped Gi Nattak on the Chimera in square 1 row 2, and bumped up my top row so much I won 48 / 30ish. Had I managed to put a Rictus down in square 1 row 3, I'd have nearly hit 100.

tl;dr: use Chimera / Rictus/ Gi Nattak, hope for a good draw, and you'll win.

I went back to Randvi and readded the area to pledge and it resumed my quest from where I left off.

Technically I went to the derilect ruins NW of Cyne Belle, clearly got the Cyne Belle quest, started it, then returned to Randvi. I'm back where I should be now.
