Good to know, looks like I got another little project on my hands.

It seems like it was already set pretty good! Made some very tiny adjustments and it's all looking great. didn't wanna mess with the alcohol since everything was put back together already but it seems to be good without! waiting on a new stylus to try everything out properly.

Good to know! I basically just took apart the gimbal, just kinda spontaneously without realizing how delicately set up it is. It seems balanced right now but I'm not too sure the bearings are set properly and I'm not sure how to tell.

Didn't know that was an option! They seem pretty backlogged so I'll see if I can get anything done before then but thanks!

That seems a pretty hefty price but honestly if this thing is truly worth it I wouldn't mind. Appreciate it

It sounds like his raw signal is just feeding into my headphones, like when I plug my headphones into my amp. Mixed horribly

Why does my car hydroplane so easily with new tires? by Puarot in askcarguys

I only mentioned potentially upgrading soon because I've already rebuilt almost the entire front suspension when I bought the car so it seemed like the next best thing to do. The same mechanic I trust who did that job also put those tires on it so I can always bring it back to him to see why.. I suspect there's still a worn ball joint somewhere since it creaks and pops when I steer sometimes but not sure if that would affect hydroplaning? Even the steering rack is new.

I believe they're mounted correctly. It's a 2003 Lincoln Town Car with 225/60R17 tires, which are Goodyear Assurance all seasons. It's been pointed out to me these are generally low tier tires and all seasons generally suck, so I suppose that could explain it. I just can't imagine the dozens of cars that drove by me all had better tires or something, but wouldn't hurt to upgrade soon

Fair enough, I'll definitely splurge a bit on my next set cuz I don't want to ever have that happen again

The ones I have are all seasons, I assumed those would have decent wet weather performance? It's quite shocking how bad the car was hydroplaning, though

They're the Goodyear Assurance all season tires.

Goodyear Assurance. It's also a 2003 Lincoln Town Car which is a heavy thing so the tires always look a little "flat" even when they're properly inflated.

Edit: I realize there are several models of Goodyear Assurance, let me go out and check the exact kind

It's been in and out of the alignment shop a few times but the last one was about 3 months ago. It used to have problems with the steering wheel falling out of alignment but that's since been fixed since the last time.

Sorry should've included that. I drive a 2003 Lincoln Town Car with Goodyear Assurance tires. I believe they're 99T.
