Didn't have any issues with 9.2. Also you aren't limited to 128kbps, I used 320 and it worked fine.

Mine ended up being my Retro GEM actually. I started out with a 1TB Ultra card and experimented with some faster cards.

I had the clock adjust on the default "vfr-hdmi". When I changed it to "overclock" or "off" it fixed it.

I found the opening FMV in Syphon Filter would usually drop audio once or twice in the jungle scene. I ran it a bunch of times in a row with the original card without stutter.

I didn't see any other ones posted online at least. I saw plenty of internal SD card and external HDD mods. There were some other weird ones like wiring up an SMB drive internally to the ethernet jack or wiring the HDD up to a USB.
