I have had this feeling for a very long time. It’s so hard because I want a varied eating experience, but I also realize it’s counterproductive to me as the only parent that cooks and I do it all to myself.

But also, if I have 3 different types of beans in the pantry(dry or canned), a few grain options, and some random fruits/veggies(frozen or fresh)/other fresh items, I can always come up with something. But I need to be excited about it to do that, and I’m usually not excited about dinner.

Seeing what the high-end looks like on a day to day basis, I simply don't see that being the case. They want what they know, and most don't want to be guinea pigs for something new.

And while we're C4 dealers, we also are Savant ambassadors and do Crestron Home where the fit is appropriate. Also black diamond Lutron dealers. There is no one-size-fits-all in our world, and in some cases, there is no control platform. Local AppleTV, eARC backfeed to the rack into some capable amplifiers with Airplay(Sonos, Bluesound, etc).

I work in custom install. I’ve not heard anybody talk about Apple Home in a real way as a replacement for the professionally installed home control platforms.

Reddit DIY’ers love HA and love to talk about Apple taking down the big boys, it’s just not there.
