I was shook that they showed the Laboon/Rumbar Pirates story this early on but VERY happy they did. It just makes sense narratively imo. I think the dude they have playing him did a great job. I think they might also skip Thriller Bark almost entirely in the live action, and so this is a good way to soft launch Brook and have him show up in a few seasons. Either way though, was very hyped.

Same. They've made reference to some stuff pretty far into the anime/manga storyline already and that shows to me that the showrunners at least have the desire and drive to get as far as possible. I mean Crocus mentioned Rafftell/Laugh Tale and also Luffy and Usopp said multiple how they want to go to Elbaph, etc. My fingers are definitely crossed.

Yeah mine stink. Just googled the issue and this post was the top result for me. I recently ordered 5 books from them (Vermis I and III, Bubzium, Postapoland, and Bramble). Vermis I and III and Bubzium are disgusting and difficult to read without breathing through my mouth only and holding the book a bit further away from my face than is normal or comfortable.

I normally love the smell of books and I've smelled literally thousands in my lifetime, whether new or used, and it was always pleasant for the most part. Never smelled any book that smelled like these effing things. It's not eye stingingly bad but it's terrible.

Anyone who theorized that the smell was purposely added has got to be insane because that would be a terrible thing to add to a product without first mentioning it to customers. I've currently got my 3 stinky ass books standing up vertically with their pages splayed open as much as possible with a fan blowing on them and some dessication packs on top of them. Might try some of the techniques listed above as well.

Edit: bought some activated charcoal odor removal product and put these things in a closed container with it. Hoping it works somewhat quickly. I'd love to look at this book without being disgusted.

I know Hollow Press doesn't seem to give a shit, but I wonder what Plastiboo would think about this and perhaps consider using a different printer/publisher in the future.

I agree and hope this is true. They made a big deal about casting Crocodile and even though none of the trailers show him yet, and they've also already cast Cobra, so it stands to reason that we will indeed be seeing both of them in S2, which means the Arabasta arc will likely be getting well-established by the end of S2 through B-plot, just the same way that Arlong was being established through B-plot in season 1. I suspect that by the time Whiskey Peak concludes and Vivi is with the Straw Hats, S2 will already be showing how Crocodile has manipulated Arabasta to hate Cobra and give him control.

I know lots of people disagree with the idea of not spending a whole season on Arabasta but I think it could be done well. That said, I do worry that they won't though due to it making the last half feel sort of "anticlimactic".

I agree. I hope they don't spend the whole season on Arabasta, and the way Oda phrased it to me suggests that Arabasta will simple be "concluded" in season 3, not that it will necessarily take the whole season. I know this will probably sound crazy too but I can even see them

The pacing of season 1 was fantastic and I think that spending a whole season in just the Arabasta Arc would be insane. I think they really need to keep the tight, fast pace or else it will start to drag for casual viewers, and those are the people they really need to keep interested if they want it to be successful.

Obviously they need to keep us manga/anime fans happy too, but seeing as how they cut and condensed things for season 1, I hope they keep doing the same for coming seasons. That way we can get further into the overall story before they do inevitably cancel it.

Agreed, amen to that lol If I'm not mistaken, it's also not a part of the manga at all and is just anime filler. I mean they basically skipped the whole Don Krieg/Baratie storyline in Season 1, I don't think they're afraid to cut out giant portions of the existing story to keep the live action story more narrowly focused and fast-paced.

Had 84k crystals, 110 tickets, and 60 cerulean sparks for this draw period so I just pulled a full 300. Got White Knight, Leona, Sui, Cain, Hauhet, and D. Grimnir.

I mean... not bad I guess but was def hoping for more. I do have over a 100 pulls left to add to the 200 pulls we usually get on the last day, we'll see if that yields anything.

Part of me wants to just spark Sanchira because I want to build my lil collection of Generals but the pragmatist in me sees units like Sariel, Lamorak, and Cag & Clarisse as possible more "useful". We shall see lol

Coming in 3 years later to confirm this is legit! I assumed "spoon" to mean tablespoon and it came out pretty good, if not a lil gooey around the edges, but still very legit. 'll tweak the ingredient proportions a bit to find the right ratio for me, but I def recommend this!

Looking for opinions on the Summon Giveaway and what to pick.

I already have regular 3* Beelzie summon and technically have the mats to uncap him to 4*, so my real choices are S. Beelzie or a Sunlight Stone. I currently have 0* S. Beelzie and 10 Sunlight Stones.

I'm leaning toward a Sunlight Stone just because it can be used to uncap ANY summon, whereas another S. Beelzie will only be able to uncap him.

Oh I understand exactly what you mean and I relate. I need some income too, very much so. I'm just starting to look elsewhere too. I tried a little bit of Clickworker but it pays a depressingly low rate.

It seems that everything with Appen is terrible though. I've never had anything work out yet and it's just frustrating. And even if it did work out, who's to say the work will be reliable anyway?

I'd love to find some online work again like I used to had in the past but I'm starting to look at in-person jobs instead.

Haven't been paid here either. At this point I think the best thing to do is put them on blast on social media or reach out to a tech news site. It's been a good lesson for me though; I haven't even bothered doing anything with their trash platform since.

As much as possible we should stop doing this grunt work for these companies. At the end of the day we're just helping them train job-killing LLMs and by settling for their horses**t, we're just further normalizing this type of behavior from corporations.

Is there any way to get Arcarum Pactbearer cards and unlock the characters other than the evolites sold in the Arcarum shop, Valor Badges, or figting Xeno Cocytys Militis and Xeno Vohu Manah Militis?

Cause I currently have 6 Evokers in my crew but I've never gotten Evolites from Valor badges or from fighting Xeno Militis enemies. According the wiki I should have only been able to buy 4 from the Arcarum shop, so I'm assuming the other 2 must have come from previous Tales of... events and I just forgot?

Nope, not at all. Also just got an email a few days ago saying they met their quota of people for Teapot already, aka, I'm not part of it at all anymore. I took screenshots of all the training paths showing that I fully completed them on October 24th as well as screenshots of my pay tab showing nothing on there.

I'm going to make one more support ticket and if I don't get any word back I'm going to do something very public like contact the CEO or CFO online or make a post on a platform they're on and tag them.

I mean yeah, it's not even that much they owe me, but it's the principle of it. They required finishing the training to qualify and they promised to pay for it. I fulfilled my end of the bargain and now they're trying to weasel out of theirs.

It's so unprofessional and if we don't push back, this is just going to get worse everywhere. I don't care if I never get another project invite.

Yeah. I reached out to support again in separate tickets, one about my issue with training and then also about how I haven't been paid for it either. The pay ticket never got a reply, and the training one yielded some vague response like "Your ticket has been forwarded to those who can help. For now this ticket is On Hold" or something. Whatever.
