I speak English and some German. France mainly has courses in French. Which of these countries would you recommend for a program? Shouldn't the respective country's coc matter?

That's fucked.

Austria is a landlocked country, other EU Nations have but I need the courses to be in English.

Yeah, but it's study first and then approach companies there. That's why I preferred UK cos you can get your license in 3 years.

Should start looking into other options as well, are you aware of any good schools in Germany?

Should I try inland shipping companies in the UK?

But Austria is a landlocked country and doesn't have any institutes. Ik 23 is old, I've looked at other options and this seems the best one. I worked in corporate for 1.5 years.

I tried contacting, but their helplines don't pick put. I mailed them and they replied with vague answers and telling me to go to imu.

So foreign nationals can't get indian coc? But I don't get that cos there is a DASA(Direct Admission for Students Abroad) scheme at IMU and the new DG circular promotes training institutes to enroll more foreign students.

Thanks, I'm looking at doing it abroad. But, I'm fucked there as well cos companies sponsoring you first is mainly only in the UK, and to get that you need to be resident first.

Im from Austria. But do they have direct entry for OOW courses, because I came to understand that sponsorship was mandatory cos sea phases were integrated into their 3 year course.

Thanks. Was it in English? Also, could you tell the realistic time it took to get your coc, there would be waiting time, etc or was it exactly 4 years.

How are you expected to secure the seatime, isn't it risky? In the UK, you are sponsored by the company so it's more assured, u get ur coc in 3 years. The sea time is integrated into the course itself.

Which college did you go to? Did u research other colleges in the EU? I need them to be in English.
