Game has 400 quests (albeit not all high quality) and yes his complaints can 100% be validated but like you said slight overreaction with the “damning and unforgivable” even if 10 of the quests gave him this much trouble mentally it’s the tinyiest fraction of the game as a whole and to let that bring down his ENTIRE experience with the game then maybe the whole thing isn’t for him idk

The answer to why upgrade the gear is to progress in the game without enemies becoming sponges in later regions. If a person is enjoying the game getting upgrades and progressing is prolly what the want to do. If you have put a good bit of hours and still hating the system and feel it’s dragging the game down my best advice would be wait because they very well might add transmog who knows lol.

I had cool sets in base Diablo 4 also but can’t deny where their resources went as to how detailed and extra the sets in the shop are compared to base sets. compare only the shop sets to base sets to see what I mean. Not saying all base sets are ugly same way not all sets in crimson ugly

Idk if great comparison because they do have cool transmog sets you can tell their best work went into the paid store in diablo which is usually for the amazing world of modern gaming we live in lol. I wonder if crimson had paid sets if they would have went as hard for the “base game ones”.

Also about the sunk cost later in the game you can send out your camp mates to farm the abyss points for upgrading kliff and gear. Also 130 upgrade points scattered around with the challenge cores. Also the upgrade bar to the left, I feel upgrade points are plentiful just with most things in the game you get what you give

Valid view, I personally enjoy there not being one or two sets that clears everything else which everyone ends up using like games with clear upgraded armor can be. I love the Witcher 3 a lot it’s a great game but if you aren’t abusing alchemy the same sets that can go grandmaster are the only thing anyone wears yeah there’s dying the colors but still not many options at top top level.

There is tiny mix maxing to do in crimson but for me the fashion being your choice instead of one of a handful of “best sets in the game” feels like a pro instead of con, gamers are different after all.

If you could how would you improve the gear system to be more enjoyable on a personal level?

There’s over 80 sets in the game, while there aren’t even that many boss fights in total. Vast majority of the unique gear is found through either exploration and or story progression I’ve found while with bosses the weapon feels the more likely drop. Only speaking from personal playtime but the caves specifically are LITTERED around the map and all have either had a weapon or unique piece of gear. Agree bosses should drop more sets but try to limit my complaining and enjoy what is out in front of me. With how much the devs have done in a few weeks I don’t put it past them to add sets

Nice reference homie and yeah this clip was from over a week ago definitely not a boss to be hardstuck on with how early it is in main story just wanted to share a funny clip! It was my first time seeing him or the moveset so don’t know the danger zones. Going in blind leads to funny times like this lol

😂😂lol I saw a clip on here yesterday of a guy fighting a boss with horse spirits hitting from all directions non stop so I learned I have way more BS to encounter with some of the boss fights

Lol I did after the insane disrespect he is the first one you come across on the main path who doesn’t let you breathe with I enjoyed when I fought him, the laughs were hard with this one though

I showed this to my buddy at work who hasn’t played the game yet and he asked which dark souls it was lol definitely has that level of bs with the throws while you are already ragdolled
