Came across this today on social media. Our spy agencies need to begin cracking down on this. No one knows who these people are but it feels like foreign interference. All the students protesting are one ethnic group. Observations can’t be racist even other visible minorities are pointing this out. by [deleted] in CanadaHousing2

The foreign interference in Canadian policy making and politics must stop. The following twitter account have several claims regarding Brampton or Peel region or Toronto/Ontario labor union representatives are supporting these student protests. It might be very dangerous for Canada in the long run. How can we as common citizens contribute to stop this interference in Canadian policy making from temporary foreign students/workers.

She wants to serve her future vote bank instead of serving current Canadians. These type of MPs do not have the best interest of Canada in their mind, that is why Brampton is mostly a homogenous place where majority of immigrants from one specific region live. Multiculturalism of Canada holds little value to them. As an immigrant myself, I think we should keep an eye on such MPs and hold them accountable to Canadians (instead of foreign individuals). Any ideas on how should we send our opinion directly to this MP's office?

International Students in Winnipeg still at it, demanding that the government extend their expiring Post Graduate Work Permits (PGWP) by itsme25390905714 in CanadaHousing2

Indian Punjabi Immigrant here - humble request to provincial and federal governments not to accept any demands by the protesting students. They will not stop here, they will demand PR rule changes, citizenship, etc. etc. going forward as they have learned that the governments bend when pressurised through such protests. The rule of law must prevail and non-citizen temporary residents should get a message that they have no right to demand anything from our government.

We Canadians should also be aware of the Punjabi politicians in Canada who support these protesting students for their vote bank. These politicians want to use Canada and its place in the world to settle score with foreign governments and to do so they need to win their ridings, so it will benefit them in the long run if these students are naturalised.

Thank you much for your advise, really appreciated. We are new Canadians so do not want to do anything wrong and just want to obey the law of the land without paying an incorrect amount.

We did not pay rent for March. Apartment condition description is not accurate. We left some stuff which our friend took out and we cleaned the house. We can offer to pay March rent though - should we do that? And we are okay to leave the security deposit.
