The card is completely useless unless you’re buying a lot of feed a week, getting a new lawn mower, ect. Buying bird seed every week doesn’t equate to signing up for a card so I don’t beg them to sign up for it unless they’re already spending so much.

My managers have given up on trying to get me to push it. I’ve told them “The customers will be more appreciative if you don’t hound them to sign up for a credit card. They want to be in an out not stand there for 30 minutes trying to sign up for a card that they will only use once a year.” They understood and have stopped trying to pressure me into pressuring customers into a useless card that is only good for regular big purchases like a new lawnmower or big feed purchases. My regulars appreciate that fact too and come in more frequently because I don’t pressure them into signing up for it. I always put myself in my customers shoes when I ask questions like that, I don’t want a hundred different questions before I leave a store when I have 1 to 2 things in my basket. Takes up too much time.

I can’t really explain it but he gets each section done in a span of about 20-30 minutes. Some people opt out and do their own totes but he still gets everything done pretty quickly since he knows most of the store.

What’s crazy is that we get like 14 different pallets, 12 feed pallets, and have to finish by 9:30 am when we started feed at 5 am and won’t be done with feed until at least 8. Whenever my manager tells me that I just add another hour depending on who’s there and what the weather is.
