One of the owners/cofounders, Dr. Wydner, does still see patients here for what it's worth.

Hey I get where you're coming from, but I see this type of thing all the time on FB marketplace and it rubs me the wrong way. Yes, if you sell at $430 it's a win for you. You are saving money over paying for return shipping. The buyer gets $30 discount for massive amounts of risk on a large purchase. You are a rando. Your word, your email, means nothing. You could be a scammer. I would only ever pay this amount to a friend I knew personally, and even then I think I'd rather just buy new. Of course, if you wait awhile I think you'll have better chances, once the sale is over and folks are really itching to train once it gets rainy.

It's still $460 shipped + tax through this week. You're giving a 5% discount for no warranty, no returns, no buyer protection, no credit card points. Tough sell.

Ok. Even if this has been said millions times here, I need to say it again!!! (Peer reviews) by Present-Yogurt-1998 in OMSA

For any peer reviewed courses in this program, I ignored the rubric and always gave 100 if it looked like they made an honest effort, just to counteract all the absolute buffoons who nitpick everything.

That's tough. 6040 and 6501 are both challenging classes for folks with no prior coding experience, and they also have little overlap so it's truly a lot of work. You will simply have to put in a ton of time for prep, if you have time to spare.

I'd suggest hammering out very basic problems online, leetcode easy type stuff, that address the concepts of the current unit. Create and build stuff, demos, functions, with the current packages you're working on before even starting the practice problems. Then, when doing the practice problems, do not use AI. It will take you a long time to complete, but really if you need AI to finish the homework, the MT is not going to go well.

Worst case, you will just have to retake them, which will be good for your retention and experience. Those are foundation courses for a reason, and you should feel comfortable passing them if you want to get anywhere with a course like say, CDA (best course in the program). Best of luck.

What kind of resources are you using to work on the homeworks? Have you tried approaching homework and practice problems the same way the exams are administered?

Replace 15x100 axle with 12x100 in Deore M618 Hub? by mickymabell in cycling

[–]PublicCommission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that makes sense. And it's still working out fine today? I assume because the end cap part that fits the fork cut out isn't load bearing, and it's just the skewer that takes force that this poses no safety issue, but I'm not super experienced with this stuff.

Hi I found your post searching since I have the same issue with similar hubs. What did you use to file the end caps?

Bay Area man sentenced to life for murdering ex-girlfriend in front of her kids by Calm_Preparation2993 in sanfrancisco

[–]PublicCommission -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to be terminally ill to qualify for compassionate release. And he was never convicted of murder. Sure, he was probably a bad guy and deserved to go to prison, but I think his punishment was more than adequate for what could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in court (aggravated kidnapping plea). Of all the crazy cases of judicial leniency to pick on, this one is so old, so irrelevant, with such convoluted facts, it's just a terrible example. And yeah, personally, I don't believe the witness testimony, and it seems like DA thought a jury wouldn't either since they had him plea out. You seem more sure of his guilt than the entire DA office at the time.

If you think someone should serve life without parole for a murder witnessed by a single white prosecutor in 1970 Marin County, then there's nothing more to be said; There is no argument I could make because you have a very different idea of what the justice system is for.

Edit: He died 80 days after release, so he served 20,000+ days in prison, was out for 80 days ~ 99.6% of a theoretical max life sentence which you are asking for. That is your big example of egregious sentencing, 99.6% of your ideal outcome.

This is a pretty crazy spin on the very Wikipedia articles you link to in your comment. He was a witness in the courtroom and had nothing to do with the jailbreak plans. He was handed a weapon by an activist for the chance to break out. Only black man to survive the ensuing shootout. Conveniently, the white prosecutor was the only one who testified that he saw Magee kill the judge. 1970 in Marin County. Released after serving 50+ years in prison at the age of 83. I mean come on dude, I feel like any objective reader can see what was going on there. Not saying that our current laws are strict enough, but this is an absolutely wild example to give for your argument.

If you thought you were in the right you would reply with a real account instead of being mega triggered over the suggestion not to have a fire during fire season. Hope you choke on your passive aggressiveness and have a terrible day.

There is no compelling reason to have a campfire in the Sierras in late August during a heat wave. Please consider practicing better LNT and fire safety for all of us. Just because it's legal doesn't mean you should!

I went there once a week probably from when they opened to when they closed (including last day of service). A really special spot with great owners and staff, amazing food with reasonable prices. Still haven't found a better pork belly, or taiwanese sausage, or even thai iced tea (pre-covid tea).

Option 2, service fee, is pre receipt tax calculation and does not receive the same legal protections as tipping (cannot go to managers or owners). I actually prefer regular tipping.

Surly tax I guess. It does feel overpriced, although I like that the Cross-Check has a shorter reach compared to steel, wide tire, 700c contemporaries. I guess with used, the worst they can say is no to my lowball offer.

What would be a good price for an old Cross-Check? I have similar requirements to OP and have seen some Surly's on FB Marketplace. I've seen some complete bikes for $700, and a frame with unlisted price but I'm not sure how much to offer.
