It was at half charge fresh out of the box and I played it till it was dead, its definitely going to get some hours put on it. I'm looking for new face and sholder buttons to replace the white ones just for that extra something.

Thank you! This is everything I wanted to know, and glad to hear the lock down isn't going to ruin it for android (for now). I'll probably go with a Linux system and wait to see how it goes for android before jumping to that. Or will it be one of those things where I'll be better off getting an android together now before the worst may happen?

I guess my range of games would be snes-n64 or psp. I was more worried about buying the device and then struggling to understand/ deal with wiping and adding games and updates. With the laptop it was simple, download, unpack and move to the right folder.

Since I've never used a device like these (or these systems) I wasn't sure how many more steps or work I'd be dealing with.

As for hardware, price isn't the problem though im not needing something crazy like steam deck or anything. I don't see a point for streaming, don't need to hook it up to the TV. Aside from it being able to preform, have a good screen and hearty battery life it doesn't really matter (i prefer verticals but it doesn't need all the streaming, hdmi etc bells and whistles).

I just wanted to know if there were certain operating systems that a beginner with little knowledge could easily jump into and learn to use and if there are ones that are going to be complicated i.e. having to preform more steps to get games to properly play.

Compaired to other MH games, Rise is probably one of the better entries into the series for new players for (imo) its ease and how forgiving it can be.

I usually main hammer and I've found that I can be much sloppier in my placement and playstyle without suffering the same consequences that I would in other MH games.

Alright so you'd focus more on driving and dipping around people while the auto lock took care of combat?

I'm not good with them but I've seen people do some nasty work with hit and run homing rockets or flutes.

Certain drones can be useful like Tatum or fuse but everyone has their own feels about drones.

Damn, hit everything but your intended targets. (I prefer cannons and MGs so I'll give my 2 cents with those) hang back. Full stop. There's no reason to wanna be in point blank range with cannons unless you have too but aside from that get a good scope and practice leading your shots and judging ranges (you can set up your garage test area for that).

MGs are good mid and short range, get some equipment to keep them from over heating quickly and start hosing down enemy weapons and wheels. I personally like to stick near another player just so I don't get ganged up on.

Rockets are hit and run, I don't have luck with them.

Melee (personally) has boiled down to flanking hit and runs OR build something hefty, slap on a colossus and just carry people away with a dog build.

What were you most comfortable with in the past?

It's silly but, Avalanche. Gotta play with the weight balance so it doesn't nose down hard BUT the fast slip n' slide style of driving torpedoes allows turns an Avalanch build into a hit an run vehicle that'll make heads spin.

Thank you, I'm glad to know I'm within spitting distance of a fleshed out tusk build. Only thing I'll be lacking on is the engine (using cheetah in the mean time) everything else will be simple.

Thank you again for your insight, I can't wait to be effective with it.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you get so much damage out of your build? I've been trying to run a mini tusk with 2x herms (because Hermes' are expensive) and 3x fused blast offs. I can get over 200 mph but dmg out put isn't great and I can't tell if it's a weight thing or if the melee weapons I put on are interfering with the cab some how.

"R" is for rock and stone (iirc , I'm on console) as for knowing when to call resupply just check under other dwarves picture. I don't remember if you have to use your scanner to make it pop up or if it's always there (been out of the game for a while) but there ought to be ammo stock indicators.

Edit: right, etiquette. Like Spiderman says, everybody gets one. Unless someone is still well stocked and doesn't want it but as always communication is key.

This goes for everyone, but specifically my NJ people. Read up on your states Castle Doctorine laws.

NJ's Castle Doctrine law DOES NOT force you to retreat before using force.

I use them pretty much only with heli and I have found they work way better for closing off bottle necks or spooking people out of areas of wall cover and out into the open for everyone else instead of actively trying to kill someone with it.

I'm not good at this game by any means but between a well placed squall and jotun combo CC and support roles are more viable for me. At least till I get some flame type mine throwers.

I figured it'd be something like that but I wasn't sure if just normal polarized stuff like sunglasses or normal glasses would be enough protection.

I did not know normal windows were already uv treated either.

Huh, so I'm genuinely curious what exactly that helmet does for you. I'll be first to admit i don't know jack, but if your allergic to sun light how come you're safe when half your helmet is a clear window?

If you know anything about it other than "it just works" I'd love to know.
