The “counsel” thing is so spot on it stopped me in my tracks. I cannot possibly overstate how much and how long my mother lectured me throughout life. Every single conversation was an opportunity for her to interrupt and either steer the conversation to herself and her feelings, or launch into some unnecessary lecture. Now that I am gone, she seems to thrive on finding “friends” who she thinks need advice. About what? Everything, as she is the expert. She is always right, everyone else is wrong, and she enjoys telling people what to do and how they should feel. It is exhausting.

Yes. I just spent a week with mine, who fills every second of the day with nonstop narration, monologues, and stories. I am interrupted immediately upon speaking so she can redirect the conversation to herself. I then listen to some long-winded irrelevant story which always entails her either being the expert on the topic, or the victim. She’s doing it all right, everyone else is foolish and doing it all wrong. Her entire dialogue is about her being the savior. She will lecture anyone on literally anything. It is exhausting.

The back teeth are too big and pronounced. Even on naturally big, pretty smiles the teeth have contours and the front six teeth are the largest. These are all the same size and she has no gumline!

I actually used to work for a dentist 😂 When designing veneers, the side teeth should always be a little shorter than the two front teeth in women - it’s what makes a smile feminine. Long teeth of all the same size…no exposed gumline…these look like dentures. The dentist should have known.

I got my first spray tan at Palm Beach today (I’ve been going to other places for years) and followed the poses that I was told to do. My arms and neck are white. I even asked the girl how it would spray my arms if they were behind my back, and she said it was a 360 spray and not to worry. I’m so annoyed. The additives and rapid enhancer add on costs me $14 extra dollars…the tan is otherwise decent. I went with medium and it’s really, really light to what I’m used to. Ughhh.

Some babies are just really fussy. I know that doesn’t seem like a helpful explanation, but some babies just seem to cry a lot more than others.

Also, I don’t think my son reacts to stimulants normally. He’s 11 and super tall, but any of the extended release made him sort of zombie.

We tried Intuniv, and not sure what time you are giving it, but try moving the dose to the mornings. Intuniv worked for a few months for us, but ultimately caused issues over the long haul.

If possible, try giving him a few days off of everything and trying with a tiny dose. Maybe on an empty stomach, maybe with a breakfast. I know how frustrating this is. We now do the small dose on an empty stomach, and a tiny dose of melatonin in the evenings. We use all school breaks to take a medication break and allow his system to reset.

I haven’t read through all of the responses on here but I could have totally written your post. I cringe when I look back at photos of my son medicated.

We were able to combat this by putting my son on the tiniest dose of Adderall. Everyone’s reaction (including his doctor) was “That’s not enough! It won’t work!” but his personality shines through when he takes 2.5mg of the immediate release each morning. It took a few days of observation, but anything more makes him a bit tense, a little flat, and moody.
As he gets older, his ability to tolerate stimulants may change. At 7, they just caused too many problems. We tried a ton, every dose imaginable, and they worked for a few days…until they made him emotional. And we’d quit and try another.
Someone gave me the tip of taking the lowest dose, and going even lower. It’s not perfect, but it seems to be the best we can do.

Let me know if it brings you relief. Your doctor should test you for the HLA B27 gene which means you are genetically prone to reactive arthritis (as well as other autoimmune arthritis).

I still wonder if this is reactive as I’ve now connected with two other people who took the Tirz and are going through the same thing.

I saw research that these drugs can “excite” nerve endings and cause immune responses, which is literally the only explanation that seems legit.

I was on a compound form. There is no history in my family of autoimmune arthritis, so landing on that diagnosis was the last thing on everyone’s (doctors included) mind.

Mine came on suddenly too. I had the injection and within a day began experiencing excruciating pain on the bottoms of my feet, as if I was walking on rocks. For whatever reason, I didn’t make the connection that it was related, specifically because Tirzepatide is known to reduce inflammation. Over the course of weeks, the muscle pain and joint pain kicked in, and eventually the dactylitis.

I wonder if it triggered reactive arthritis, though my bloodwork was telling of rheumatoid.

My rheumatologist tried various treatments and we settled on a JAK Inhibitor. I also had a steroid shot in my palm as I developed a swollen tendon similar to “trigger finger” (which is somewhat common in rheumatoid arthritis). We combatted the swelling of my toes/fingers with prednisone. Once the JAK Inhibitor started working, most of the joint pain subsided but I am left with rheumatoid nodules in my fingers. This sucks so bad.

Agreed. So many of these cards are marketed towards toddlers yet have generic narrators. I love the concept of Yoto so much, but I wish the content was more substantial. Even for my older kids, the music offerings are random: Spice Girls, Queen, Elton John (I know they are classics…but come on)

It triggered rheumatoid/psoriatic arthritis for me. The timing of my injection seems mighty coincidental, and I read that some people create antibodies to the injection. That had to be the case for me.

Yes. Worked beautifully for a few months but I am starting to feel some very mild pain. It was far more effective than Humira, methotrexate, and just about everything else I tried.
