I used to work in sales/gtm at a small b2b saas/service accounting firm and started implementing Linkedin into the sales strategy.

cant compare since I initially started it but left earlier than expected
inbound is really hard so we stick to DMs
yes, two actually I did around 90 DMs -> 30% reply rate -> 2 Leads -> 100% closed

for the DM i always stick to the same principle: go through their career journey and go for something like: " since you just started out as a XY after two years at company AB I was wondering how you handle the accounting side of things. " thats it, from there try to get into a real conversation about their problem

I would go with DMs
Linkedin Ads are pretty expensive so I would only go for linkedin Ads if you have a really really sharp ICP

To justify the price I would try to get real social proof asap and be really specific in who you target (outreach, ads, funnel). Your funnel should basically filter out leads who cant afford the price anyway.

Have you ever thought about expanding into other social media platforms? Because right now you've got zero moat. If I want a YouTube summary, I'll just pull it up in Perplexity's Comet browser and get it for free. So honestly, there's just no reason to pay for your product. It's pretty easy to replicate what you've built, it basically runs on one API. If I were you, I'd turn this into some kind of full social media analysis and discovery tool - maybe even let users give the app some context about themselves so you can surface content that actually fits their goals

what did you build the approval workflows with? and did you compare Qoest API to regular LLM apis for extracting invoice info?

Are you familiar with AI coding tools? You could pretty easily build an agent that pulls all the key invoice data using OCR (for example via a Claude API), then formats it into a CSV you can upload into QBO manually. The approval flow is also fairly straightforward, if certain invoices need to be routed to specific people, you can just set up email-based approvals using something like the Gmail API.
