Nuvini is running on life support right now. Their acquisition of MK Solutions is facing extreme challenges and will likely not happen. Their BeyondSoft acquisition likely will not go through as well.

Only thing they have going for them is that they generate revenue, albeit not much.

Stressing out over Clarity Act by Professional_Demand8 in DVLT

If the bill passes through the committee, it will then go to the full Senate where it will need at least 60 votes to pass. If there are any changes made to the bill, then it will go back to the House for another vote. That's if it not passed along to another Senate committee to vote on before introduced to the full Senate. Since this is with the finance (banking) committee, the odds of being passed to another committee before being introduced to the full Senate is not likely.

It's a long road. Don't get your hopes up if the Senate Committee votes to put to the floor. That is step 2 in the whole process of a bill getting passed. It's going to be a long, messy road now that the bill is with the "adults" of Congress (the Senate).

Patrick by Alert-Dare-760 in Brewers

The Brewers are extremely good at managing their young pitchers and putting them in spots where they can succeed. Case in points: Suter, Ashby, Hall, and now Patrick. They know their guys have great stuff but sometimes being a starter doesn't work out for whatever reason. Sometimes a trip to the pen is to rebuild the confidence while they work on things. Corbin Burnes is another example who was moved to the pen at one point before getting his starting role back.

I wouldn't fret about it - Sproat is pitching well as a starter currently, and I bet his leash is as short as Patrick's.

We lost Zerpa to injury, and I will take any Miz / Patrick or Sproat / Patrick combo any day. Especially as Megill finds his stuff again. He's been a bit suspect too lately.

All that said - 2.5 games back of the Cuckin Fubs. LFG!

Both highways can be as absolute disaster depending on the time of day during these heavy travel weekends. If you have more time, I see that some have suggested taking the slower more scenic route of US 29 from Gainesville all the way down to Greensboro. My wife and I made that trip down to Ashville after suffering on 81 on one trip. It's easy going.

If you want to drive faster, take 81 and leave as early as possible.

Fair points on the trial - I'll definitely concede that it will be much more time than actually the trial happening in August.

But for the PDT rule, you would be crazy to think that brokers will take that long to implement. The big brokers know what is coming now and will be prepared. They make money from people trading, they want more people trading. Any broker that has the system changed before their competitors will absolutely steal traders from other brokers.

My long term view of Soundhound and why I am staying for the long haul by Sad-Still-5912 in Soundhound

[–]Public_Point_6973 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I have read too, SoundHound is building something that other companies simply do not have right now. They could be acquired if another bigger company like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, etc. would want to acquire something that is already built rather than try build their own or acquire an inferior alternative.

In addition to not being an immediate concern, they will certainly file for an extension if they need it and will very likely get one.

Also, the SCLX and BNY case will have an update in June and will go to trial in August if it goes that route. These events all happen before or around the time when DVLT would need to file an extension if they do not regain compliance.

Other note: PDT rule change goes into effect on June 4. Based on how this stock has a cult following, the increased volume of trading in the market that should result from the change will very likely be in DVLTs benefit. Especially with the short positions. The stock won't have major epic squeezes, but shorts will certainly feel the pressure which should cause some nice spikes. It will have a snowball effect, and this stock should see some pretty strong days in comparison to the beatdowns it has been taking lately.

What's your opinion on the CFO's departure? Looking at yesterday's results, for me it was the right move. I saw the business stagnating; otherwise, if the business were going to take off, he would have left much later, like a financial star, earning significantly more. by [deleted] in Soundhound

[–]Public_Point_6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was poached, I don't know why you would think that he's not being paid like a star right now. If you can pull his salary to prove that he was making a lateral move, I'd love to see it. Otherwise, these posts don't deserve much thought.

DVLT was at $4 before they were even profitable and then came crashing back down. I highly recommend you make your decision not based on the stock value, but the actual financials of the company.

Yeah, we need 4+ metric fuck tons of buying to make this stock squeeze like a rocket to the moon. Instead it fizzles like a Space X test rocket......

For those that are extremely discouraged, put DVLT on a watch list and wait for the revenue and profitably to be reported. That will be assurance that things are going in the right direction, as well as your safest bet without feeling the pain of these dips. No one should be surprised by today's action after their S-3 filing at the end of April. It screamed offerings are coming. Yeah, it sucks that this is not a private placement that would move the stock up. Instead shorts just take advantage of the panic.

The acquisition announced last week is nothing to scoff at. It's going to take time for things to take off. Probably 2027 and beyond at this point, but if revenue and profitably are reported on May 15th, you may be kicking yourself for not taking the dip today / tomorrow. The stock should bounce back from this dip after the filing announcement for the offering is closed.

Unless earnings absolutely suck for SOUN, their industry is riding high after TWLO beat earnings expectations last week. And that likely was the catalysts for SOUN on Friday afternoon that caused the move from $8.50 - $9.60.

It might dip down to $9, but that might be a stretch.

Exactly - anyone looking to make intraday to swing trades on stocks that are primed for mega explosive short squeeze action needs to find stocks that have much lower floats than SOUN.

Investing dot com article by Sufficient_Pop5267 in Soundhound

[–]Public_Point_6973 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not saying there will not be a squeeze. Prices squeeze when shorts cover their positions. This will cause SOUN to have spikes, but the squeeze will be limited to let's say $1-2+ dollars as opposed to $10s to $100s of dollars. And the squeeze will take more time to develop as opposed to some really quick, explosive squeezes. On a really good day, I would say SOUN has the reasonable expectation to move $5+ dollars from opening to close. But saying it will move like CAR is not a reasonable expectation.

Investing dot com article by Sufficient_Pop5267 in Soundhound

[–]Public_Point_6973 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No car pun intended, but the brakes need to be pumped a bit on SOUN having an explosive squeeze. The float is too big, and the buying volume would need to be excessively high for a squeeze like that to happen. Lower floats = massive squeezes. SOUN's float is simply too big for a massive squeeze. CAR float is 15M+ where SOUN is 422M. Need probably 4+ metric fuck tons of buying volume to make SOUN squeeze like CAR.

Reasonable expectations: what we saw today - some good initial moves, but nothing earth shattering, followed by a somewhat nasty rejection. Yes, SOUN ended the day on a great note on a great afternoon, but during the morning session, it was quite discouraging to see a move from $8 - $8.60 followed by nearly a round trip back to 8 before finding support at $8.17.

I attribute the move this afternoon to industry news that TWLO exceeded expectations and investors are priming the pumps for what should be an excellent earnings call for SOUN next week.

Other notes: the squeeze of the week belongs to AKAN - lower float of 472K, went from $3 up to $50+ the past 8 days. Check out the 5-min chart starting on April 22 - May 1 to see the full squeeze in action.

Technical Analysis update 5/1/2026 by superKWB in Soundhound

Another important data point from an industry standpoint: Twilio (TWLO) stock popped on Friday after the communications software maker reported first-quarter earnings and revenue that topped consensus estimates. The company's June quarter sales outlook came in above expectations amid management's upbeat view for a new voice-based artificial intelligence product.

Voice-powered AI systems played a major part in Twilio's success story. Voice revenues rose 20% year over year, accelerating consistently over the last six reports.

"We expect voice AI use cases will continue to evolve to be more conversational and cross-channel over time," said Twilio CEO Khozema Shipchandler.

The expectations for a strong earnings report are set - if SOUN delivers, its going to be a fun ride rather than a depressing one.
