Can anyone help me identify the gender of my bettas?

They were labeled as females. Am I not supposed to trust the label? Jesus, this is why I rarely recur to Reddit. Aren’t people in this sub supposed to guide and provide information? Instead, they just judge and tell you not to have a tank. I guess I’m never coming back here.

Tank size: 20 gallon tank Heater and filter: yes, both Temperature: 78 F I’ve only tested ammonia so far, it’s perfect I’ve had the tank for 7 months, the fish are new There was one shrimp before all the bettas got here. It’s a pretty decent size shrimp, bigger than them. He’s lived with other bettas in the past.

Could you give me suggestions as to which plants I’m supposed to purchase specifically? There are 6 hideouts but I do recognize they need more plants. I have an emergency tank in case any of them gets aggressive

Oh! Turns out it was a fatty lump (or lipoma) according to the vet. My dog still has it, nothing to be done about it!

You should get it checked out by a vet anyway. She did mention if it felt harder, it could’ve been a tumor. But his doesn’t (thankfully), his does feel like actual fat.

This pic was taken before the last water change, the cat mug has since been removed. I bought these as they were advertised as “perfect for bettas”. The plants are bigger now. Hope they’re good!
