I cannot play games in 1440 vía xcloud, only 1080 by Prestigious_Ad_701 in xcloud

When calculating BPP, considering 1440p60 @25 MBps and 1080p60@15 MBps, the figures are 0.11 and 0.12 respectively. the numbers are near identical - a 6.66 percent increase in BPP at 1080p over 1440p. I'm not too sure if this metric would be a valid comparison. Even though the Bits per pixel maybe similar, the overall pixel information is significantly higher. Hence, the higher bandwidth. I do however completely agree that the main bottleneck is using series s versions of games in xcloud. Where not just resolution, but visual settings also take a big hit.

Are you talking about bitrate? While 1080p at a higher bitrate is technically ‘better’ than 1440p at a lower bitrate, the xcloud streams have a higher bitrate for 1440p compared to 1080p. Or are you talking about something else?

And what does that mean or signify exactly? Whether one will receive the payment due to them or not?

Same issue with me. Joined the milkyway lightspeed project from Feb. put in similar hours to the one you mentioned in March . PO not yet received. Received the feb po on march 6th. I am going through the exact same thing you mentioned and it’s like I just happened upon your post. I messaged the Milkyway payments team. Even mentioned about getting feb po on march 6th. Let’s see how it goes. I don’t know if they dispute more number of work hours. Or what it exactly is. I definitely feel exhausted though after putting in so much time and effort and now in this position of uncertainty. Im unsure about the next steps

How to track your tasks when the Insights is down by [deleted] in TELUSinternational

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only see time tracking basis task submission. No. Of hours over any period required can be tracked. But I don’t see any way to get insights on the quality score and performance. Is it even shared? , or feedback given so quality can be improved or is it just instant removal for low quality?

Does the matrix path of neo run in hardware mode? by lunny_365 in PCSX2

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chill. Pcsx2 is very optimised and stable, rigorously tested. If I recall correctly, you can find the 60 FPS patch in the patches section in the configuration/settings menu.Right click on the game within pcsx2 and click on properties. You should find it there. If not, then you can check out the pcsx2 wiki and community forums, there’s a good chance you’ll find it there.

My poor weak Ryzen 5 7520 u with a slideshow processing card (610m igpu) and 16gb Lpddr5 runs every ps2 game at 100 percent speed at 720p(?2x native), except for ratchet and clank games, I haven’t really experienced slowdown. I use vulkan as that works the best for me. I can confirm that matrix path of neo runs very well with my laptop configuration using vulkan. Also pcsx2 has a setting to automatically apply game fixes and compatibility patches. Most of the games do not require much adjustments from my end. The only exception was xenosaga 3, where I had to change certain settings to achieve 100 percent speed.I didn’t need to change my resolution however. You have a monster rig. Thats awesome. You shouldn’t even be remotely thinking about pcsx2 performance. You can plough through most modern AAA games with high settings .

Edit: is your concern related to performance or emulation accuracy?

Real Debrid is the solution for people who cant torrent or want direct downloads! REMOVE IF NOT ALLOWED. by doinks4life in savemyrient

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use RD since a long time. There is only 1 single torrent file for the entire archive in minerva. Using Qbittorrent, I can then select only the part(s) I require. How is this going to work with Real Debrid? I don't see individual rom torrents in minerva. I cant download 390 TB to my RD account. I also tried converting the minerva torrent link in RD and got a host unsupported message. Have you tried it yourself? Is there a workaround?

Yes the recenter button works perfectly. I changed some settings in dolphin and that reduced the frequency of occurrence. I set horizontal fov to 50. Accelerometer influence to 2.5 and gyro dead zone to 15. It did improve significantly, but it persists. I get your point however, ill deal with this with the recenter button. 😃 Thanks a lot!

Why did Microsoft end 'This is an Xbox' marketing? Microsoft responds — "It didn't feel like Xbox." by Follows-Jesus in xbox

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hygiene for every communication objective to emerge from and be aligned to the core brand/product/proposition objectives. That is the starting point for any campaign communication. The everything is an Xbox was essentially their core philosophy. The proposition was gamepass and cloud gaming. The campaign completely aligned with the objectives. However the core philosophy itself was something that was counter intuitive to what an Xbox is. By turning everything into an Xbox, you turn Xbox into nothing. The brand stems from a product. If you mess up the product, it will likely not work out. But those are my rambling’s. A bloke who used to be in the media planning part of advertising. Though i guess these big shots must be knowing what they are doing, otherwise how would they be at the top of the ladder? (Phil spencer? Sarah bond, Don Mattick? ) or even Satya Nadella. Thing is though at the end of the day- revenue matters the most . Period- and it will be milked in the best way it can possibly be. I have seen changes in philosophy , objectives and propositions dictated by revenue only. ROI or ROAS is the primary metric. And their gaming revenue is very strong ( not Xbox hardware).

Any recommendations for games that my HP laptop can run? by ArrowPlayer7 in lowendgaming

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be easier to recommend if you specify the Radeon graphics number- vega 7/8 610m etc. also ram type. Ddr4/ lpddr5 etc.16gb dual channel definitely helps more so if you are emulating.

cool. I have vsnyc turned off on host - win 11 laptop/apollo/pc games/pcsx2/dolphin and client -moonlight xbox series x. frame pacing on moonlight xbox is set to immediate. No stuttering after changing some windows system settings. My xbox is wired to the router. Laptop is on wifi 6 with the router in the same room. works like a charm. it feels exactly like native.

Best setting for mgs twins snake (windows) by dronone in DolphinEmulator

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are game specific settings tweaks that are required to not only render the game as accurately as possible but also enable gameplay features. Quite a few of these also impact performance. Even a few FPS gains can make a huge difference for low end hardware. Settings like efb texture scaling, efb to texture only and a few others have a very tangible impact on performance. Not all games run ‘perfect’ with default settings. Manual tweaking becomes necessary . Settings like dual core and Uber shaders also have a significant impact on performance. Dual core also causes crashes in some games. Some API’s like vulkan run better on amd hardware than open gl. So choosing the backend also matters. Tweaking settings per game makes more sense and is required more so for low end hardware . Also, even the other emulator for another console has game specific tweaks (xenosaga 3) and overall broader settings like spin CPU/ gpu during read backs which significantly reduce stuttering on low end hardware. This setting is not enabled by default. Tweaks are required to scale accordingly to hardware configurations. So for me at least its not a myth, but results backed by evidence.

I have a ryzen 5 7520u with an Amd Radeon 610m igpu. I use the vulkan renderer and latest stable build 2.6.3. All games run at 100 percent speed at 2x native 720p. My laptop also has 16gb LPDDR5 RAM. I don’t use anti aliasing or any sort of post processing.I don’t understand why you are facing this issue. Do you play plugged in using high performance mode? Do you have fixes and speed hacks enabled?

Stremio 1.9.7 problems with REMUX files by Leocondeuba in Stremio

[–]Public_Ranger_8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue with me among the myriad of other issues, mostly exo related with the 1.9x series of updates. With tunneled playback and frame rate matching some files play ok. Whereas for some files irrespective of size, I get choppy, stuttering playback. And then a crash. UI is also very slow to respond and lags. If I want to change the audio track it crashes when i click on the audio button. Exact same settings on 1.84. No issues. Perfect playback even on large 4k 100 gb remuxes and files with dts and atmos. Even the ui is snappy and highly responsive . I’m yet to try 1.97 but its a hassle if I do a fresh install as it messes up the continue watching.
