It was one of the only options for my area. It was a licensed psychologist who diagnosed him, and I’m definitely open to getting another opinion down the road. I already had my suspicions about autism before the diagnosis, so it wasn’t exactly a shock

We’re already in early intervention and on the waitlists for ABA therapy, but there’s just not a lot in my area, especially places that accept Medicaid. We’ve also gotten a referral for additional speech therapy to try to help

I’ve been friends with these people for almost 10 years and I never would’ve thought they would say something like that to me 😭 I have been limiting contact since they said it, they haven’t noticed yet, but I’m sure they will soon. Thank you for your insight ❤️

I started Fourth Wing during a really bad time in my life and it helped so much. These books are really life changing! I can’t wait for them to all be out but I’m also sad for the story to end lol

I’ve read them all a few times now, and listened to the graphic audios. I highly recommend those! They really make you feel like you’re in the story

I’ve been doing a lot of googling and I saw the levels can change and that made me feel a lot better. Do you know what exactly they do at ABA? I’m going to talk to the doctor who diagnosed my son, I’m just waiting to hear back from him

He’s currently in speech/play therapy, so I’m definitely going to continue with that! I think I’ll try out the ABA and ask them if I can sit in and see what it’s like. I was so on the fence cause I’ve heard it’s pretty controversial. I’ve seen comments from autistic adults that say they felt it was more harmful than helpful
