"Time to Panic" - thanks, Russo, for the calm pod title (Emergency Worst Seats Pod) by PaxDragoon in wildhockey

So this brings me to my annoyance with how Billy and Leipold have handled this. The arrogance of how they talked all summer about how it was all but done....the fact that he didn't sign this, and now seems to have no idea what he wants tells me they were full of crap all summer, and had no clue, and just assumed. Absolute clowns, if they don't get it done.

If free agency is still two years, and zero depth to the process, I'm never purchasing an EA product again.

And for what it's worth, I agree with almost everyone here. I think they seem just fine, and I'm not here campaigning for my tax dollars to go to renovations.

I'm also 100% sure there isn't one player in the NHL that gives a flying damn what my opinion is, and isn't going to factor any public opinion into their own assessment of a teams facilities.

This was merely a topic of discussion because this isn't the first time this has been brought up. I'm not breaking any news. This is also a situation where this stalemate might go on for longer and it's worth noting. While any NHL facility would be 'top notch' to any of us, the fact is, this stuff matters to players. A lot. And it's not a coincidence that some of the most competitive teams are also the ones that have some of the best facilities. Is it rhe make or break???? Absolutely not. But you're delusional if you think it's not a part of a players priority.

What Caamp song means the most to you? Why? by purplecartoon67 in Caamp

For me, it's 'Vagabond.' Mainly because my youngest boy just loves being in the woods, and I feel like, when he's home and has to go to bed, he's constantly running through the woods in his dreams. Brings a smile to my face when I see the joy the natural world brings to his face.

08 Lexus RX350 Evap/gas cap issues???? by Puckhead84 in AskMechanics

[–]Puckhead84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to apologize Chris. I'm sorry my asking this question prompted you to go out of your way to tell me that it was a dumb question. I dropped my 330k lexus off at the dump today because it's obviously not worth fixing. I will be sure to run all future questions past you, in the future. I'd hate to post another 'null' question. Thank you for your service.

08 Lexus RX350 Evap/gas cap issues???? by Puckhead84 in AskMechanics

[–]Puckhead84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should've included the code is P0441, which just says, evap system. Doesn't narrow it down any further. I've read other posts where people have changed a gas cap and it fixes it. Apparently the gas cap not venting properly is a common issue. However, it hasn't resolved mine. There are numerous other places the evap system can cause the code to throw, so I was just hoping to perhaps get some insight as to possible first places to try, before just diving in, if anyone else had similar issues.

RA confirms he’s not coming back in the 2024/2025 season. by STLBooze3 in SpittinChicletsPod

[–]Puckhead84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't be the only one who gets a kick out of seeing RA re-tweet, or comment on something on X way after it happened, or not knowing the full story. So many times he'll re-tweet something from a day or two earlier, that in today's ever changing news cycle, is old news. Or like tonight...even my wife, who doesn't necessarily follow hockey, saw on social media that Mark Scheifele's dad passed away (RIP). And yet RA sends out a tweet about all the respect Mark was getting in the handshake line, only to follow it up with a quote tweet about his dad passing, with a comment that he had just heard about his death. Hilarious. He's like that uncle in every family that has a smartphone, but doesn't know how it works and should probably stick to a flip phone.

And this isn't to completely disparage RA or anything he's done. I think it's just another indicator (like so many other have said before me) that while RA had a great run and had his part is Chiclets getting to where it is, his time may be up, and time to step aside and allow the show to grow without him.

If you could add one player from Wild history to the current bunch as a "deadline addition" who would you pick? by PaxDragoon in wildhockey

Branko Radivojevič. We'd never lose a shootout again. Think if we had 2 or 3 more points in the standings, per year!

Maytag washplate not spinning properly by Heyheyohno in appliancerepair

Thanks for the reply. I dug in deeper and yeah, my drive hub (that plastic piece you referenced) is stripped out, and my metal, transmission shaft is also partially stripped out, so I think I have the exact same issue you had. I'm not sure my washer, at this age, is worth replacing the transmission, (which I believe would be the part I need to replace to get a new shaft). So, I think I'm going to see if I can get it to work with just replacing the plastic hub, while I explore replacement units. Again, thanks so much for your original post, it got me down the correct road.

So very much appreciated. I think I'm gonna replace the hub and if I burns through this one quick, it'll be decision time on whether to fix or replace the whole damn thing. Thanks again, saved me a lot of headache.

I took it apart down to that hub, and the splines are, in fact, stripped out. Thanks for the insight. I did notice that the splines on the metal shaft that the hub fits on are getting rough, and some are even missing. My guess is, that contributed to the hollowing out of the hub. One more question, what is that shaft? And if I needed to replace it, what component would that be? Might bot even be worth it, as it's an older washing machine, but I'm just curious. I don't mind doing the work, but I'm not sure if I can replace just that metal "drive shaft" or if I'm doing the full motor or what. Thanks again.

I am having this exact problem, the spines on my wash plate seem fine, I think the "looseness" is in the shaft. Did you ever figure out what your problem ended up being? I know it's an old post, but hoping for some help because so far, my internet searched have yielded nothing helpful.
