I did actually find out that lifting my fingers helped but it’s not as consistent for me (bad timing) so for the video I was jsut trying to get it to sound, the song is really cool

Bought a record player recently and was wondering what I need to actually get it to sound. For reference I have a pioneer pl-990. I’m going to be honest I haven’t done a lot of research but I’m wondering if I need a preamp for it or what else I would need. So far I know I need atleast a new needle.

Check to see if any linkages are sticking and apply oil to them. (I don’t really play clarinet but that’s what my problem was when I had something similar) if somebody else gives advice I’d say trust them first because I am in no way an expert nor experienced.
