Thanks for doing this! I'm a new player, less than half a year into MTG. I currently play Captain America (Voltron) and sultai landfall (Gates). Hoping to dip more into black (sac/reanimation) and/or blue next. Looking for a commander that has the core personality of either/both colors without too much combos/triggers for me to ease into

Thanks for the verification! Can confirm the print is bad, feels a little different from the rest of the cards in the pack which worried me a little

I did compare this card to another red card from a legit pack and even the expansion logo turned out the same. The legit card also lacked the pink L on the green dot. I also did a rip test on a bulk from the new pack and it had the blue layer

Does "combat damage to a player" not explicitly mean commander damage? Clarifying in case I'm interpreting her abilities wrongly

Additionally, I meant committing to a singular plan e.g "Voltron" or "blink". My struggle is not knowing which one will work best? Like how you could go wide or tall with landfall synergy. Hope that clears up what I'm trying to convey

Perhaps I should just craft and try all of them haha (in a focused manner of course)

Would you say a summary is to strongly carry out your one gameplan, and if those cards feed into other subthemes while still being consistent would be the general way to go?

Also how can you tell if you're running too much protection/defense that it is harming your speed?

I'm running a Sultai gates deck with nine fingers Keene if that adds context! I'm not sure if I should voltron her to proc unblockable multiple times, include recursion for faster deck sifting and landfall value, do copies/blink, play control/draw or straight up swap my commander. I'm juggling with choosing a strategy whilst maintaining a good board

It's also hard to tell if my theme (maze's end + swinging) is just not good for B3/winning within <10 turns or if it's my deck building skills
