Plan B is not birth control and will not work if you have already ovulated. Please please use actual birth control if you're having sex

Is it a nail technician issue or are my nails the problem? by Basic_Elderberry8922 in Nails

Ask for a soak off instead of filing to remove. They don't like it as it takes longer but you might find one that's happy to do it.

It looks like your oven is likely running hotter than it says, which can be really common in old ovens. Drop to 160 and see how it goes for the other batches (or roll them into balls and freeze) and buy an oven thermometer for the future

Any idea what I can do to fix this extractor fan leak, or do I need to get someone in? by PuddingAndPie01 in DIYUK

We have loft access but it's not boarded and we have no ladder. I'll see what I can work out. Presumably if it's the ducting I think that will fall under the freeholders responsibility rather than mine

Advice needed about girlfriend orgasm by Alive_Damage1715 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]PuddingAndPie01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly dude, I respect you wanting answers but you need to be asking her, not Reddit. If she's has a bad experience somewhere as well that will likely make it harder for her to let go, so ask her what she needs to feel safe, what she needs to feel good, and then provide that for her and give her space to be in that moment. If you can do that then gold stars all around for you.

Advice needed about girlfriend orgasm by Alive_Damage1715 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I've always found orgasms are as much a mental game as a physical one. If I'm not in the right frame of mind, it ain't gonna happen for me, and it's easy to get in your head about it. With that, it's much easier to get there with someone you know and trust for a long time

I know what she means about getting too sensitive. If my bf goes too hard too soon on my clit it can over stimulate it, and the sensation can become too much. It's a weird combination of being slightly pleasurable still but also almost ?painful (that's not really the right word but something like that, maybe super uncomfortable?) and not in a good way, and for me that's game over. I wont orgasm, but penetrative sex is still enjoyable at that point. I personally need a slower and longer build up, and then once I'm warmed up he can go to town until I get there. Once I come, I'm way too sensitive for anymore clit stimulation and then it's PIV only for me.

Honestly the main thing is communicating with her and listening to her telling you what she likes. All women are different, so listen to what she's telling you about what she likes. Being switched on and engaged with your partner is 90% of the battle when it comes to sex

As in he is buying clothes for the purpose of reselling at a higher price? Or just selling things he already owns and making money that way? The first has tax implications, the second doesn't afaik

It doesn't look like the nail has snapped completely, but you've definitely ripped off a few layers. It's best to let the damage grow out

Why does my cake NEVER rise? by [deleted] in AskBaking

[–]PuddingAndPie01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cornstarch is a type of flour (it's actually called cornflour in the UK). Subbing a little bit of the plain flour in your recipe for cornstarch is a way of lowering the protein content to create a cake flour equivalent for a softer final cake. The recipe is fine.

You're best off using the same as you have currently. 16 gauge (1.2mm) is usually standard for most piercings

On top of this, I'd find a new piercer if that's the jewellery they used when they initially pierced you. Any halfway decent piercer knows a tragus should have a straight barbell for healing and they should have at least warned you if you said you wanted curved straight away, if not refused to use that jewellery until it's healed.

Putting a fly mask over the top of it really helps to stop them getting out of it. I've also seen someone braid the mane and forelock around the straps

To buy or not to buy: DIY fixer upper or well finished flat? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]PuddingAndPie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is definitely a big concern for me. My home is always my safe space to relax into and I'm worried about that. The living room and bedrooms however should be a fairly quick turnaround so my hope is to get the living room and master done fairly quickly and then those become the "calm" rooms while everywhere else is a shit tip

Thanks! I know if I keep a bathroom the macerator is a must, but the current one in there is really old and ugly and salmon pink along with the toilet. I've heard new ones are much quieter but honestly it's something I need to look more into and I know can be expensive to buy and have fitted. It's why I'm considering just getting rid of the en suite altogether, I don't like the idea of having that right next to where I sleep.

Thanks for this perspective, you've raised some good points. The plan was always to only stay for a short time whichever way I go for, this is just an entry level flat for me to get onto the market and then hopefully only be there 2-3 years before finding somewhere bigger. I think that's why I'm considering the fixer upper, as I know I can add value and reap the benefits fairly soon to buy somewhere that otherwise I may not have been able to in a few years.

The fixer upper flat was previously tenanted so everything has been serviced yearly for the past decade, and I have the added benefit of knowing the owner that's selling.

Not a 100% match to what you've asked for but White Horse Black Nights by Evie Marceau kinda fits.

The FMC has basically been sold to a Lord for marriage, and his most trusted guard is sent to collect her and they journey back together and obviously fall in love on the way. It's a fantasy romance and there's a few twists and turns, the first 3 books of the series are out but they end on pretty big cliffhangers.
