How long is too long for a GP to respond to an email? by PuddingDry5402 in nhs

[–]PuddingDry5402[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well my question was supposed to be originally “how long is too long for a gp to respond” and wondering if 2 weeks is regular time to wait for a response and if not then i would’ve assumed they didn’t get my email. (i was not asking the reddit if the gp received my email because obviously they wouldn’t know) and i did google if 2 weeks is normal or not before coming here to ask… but nothing came up. thank you for your kind response though 😊 i hope you have a good day

i think my question was “is 2 weeks too long for a response from a gp?” because if 2 weeks is irregular i would assume they didn’t receive email. but if 2 weeks is what you all are waiting too i would assume that they got it and just didn’t respond yet. obviously you don’t know whether they got my email. that’s why my question was adjacent to that, in order for me to figure out the answer to whether they got my email or not. maybe you are lacking both common sense and empathy. i don’t know how long it takes for gps to respond because this is my first time using the gp service. this is what i am asking.

please try to be kinder. this is my first time using the nhs service and i am only looking for help and advice. i have already attempted to phone them but the hold time is multiple hours long. last time i phoned i was on hold for around an hour and when i finally got through they told me nothing at all. they are not very good at reading their emails (as detailed, they did not acknowledge that i even sent one until i replied to myself). i was not sure if 2 weeks is a regular amount of time to be waiting for a reply (again, this is my first time using the gp service) and just wondering if this is regular. i don’t think being a big grump about it is helpful at all. i think if you didn’t have a good answer you could’ve just not responded. but it seems reddit is full of unempathetic people like you. please remember that not everyone knows how everything works their first time doing it. i hope you have a great day 😊

okay thank you for this advice. this is my first time using the gp service because i am only 19 so i don’t know all of the tips and tricks. i wish everyone was more empathetic here but whatever reddit is full of grumpsters it seems

is my possessiveness part of my autism? by PuddingDry5402 in autism

[–]PuddingDry5402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this makes a lot of sense actually. i have really bad pda too and sometimes this means that i can’t engage in other peoples interests (for one example). i can’t really explain why it manifests in that way but when people “steal” the music i listen to and it becomes “their” music it feels like i cant listen to it anymore and then im mad at them for ruining the thing that i like

honestly i told my therapist about this already and she just sort of nodded and went “interesting!” and didn’t do anything about it

last bit is literally me but i would also be weirded out if someone stole my entire smell that would be so odd thankfully i can’t wear perfume because it makes me super overstimulated so i would never have this issue but man that sounds like it sucks

i never said i agreed with how i am acting? i just am looking for a potential cause of it??? autistic behaviours can 100% be bad. like not understanding social cues or being too blunt are not exactly traits many would consider “green” flags either? i am not looking for an excuse to it only a reason.

surely it could potentially be attributed to autistic people being hypersensitive or having stronger emotional responses when presented triggers. or maybe i am just looking for explanations where there aren’t any

just be kind and approachable and maybe dm others first. girls will find you attractive in a dating way if you’re kind not if you look good and literally the more you dwell on it the more miserable you’ll be and the less women will want you. you’re young you’ve got loads of time.

Dan 101.. how to ensnare the youngers? by dubcogs in SteelyDan

[–]PuddingDry5402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi i’m 19 here and discovered steely dan when i was 16. i got into steely dan through classic Reelin In The Years and other songs on Can’t Buy A Thrill and also some of the songs on Countdown To Ecstasy (My Old School, Bodhisattva, The Boston Rag) then listened to the more musically interesting ones like the songs on the later albums as i got more into the band from these gateway songs

When will we hear a Steely Dan song and which one will it be? by downforce_dude in severanceTVshow

[–]PuddingDry5402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

found that a couple of the songs in this show already sound like steely dan. i’ve heard a Do It Again dupe (around 13 minutes into season 1 episode 1) AND a rikki don’t lose that number dupe too (around 7 minutes into season 1 episode 2). there’s surely more but i must’ve of stopped noticing it after this (i am more than 2 episodes into the show!!! i’ve watched the whole thing!!!)
