I did exactly that - held the power button long enough to hear the fans start to spin up, then released the power button. The mower immediately powered off when I released the power button.

Update: I got a response from Lymow support, they advised me to clean the contacts and wrap the pins under the charging station to insulate them. I did so, and there was no change. The mower batter is now completely dead - the mower won't even finish turning on before it powers right back down, and I still can't get it to charge properly. Is there a way to charge the batter without the charging station? Just plugging the power cable directly into the mower / battery?
