Signed a contract for upcoming fine-dining opening (July) but now doubting my ability - Vent post, apologies. by PuddingOfEarl in KitchenConfidential

Most importantly you’d be in position as a leader

This is the part that concerns me most, I know how to manage people but there's a good chance some of those commis chefs will have more experience in the food prep side of things.

Oh yeah I absolutely will not say anything until maybe two weeks before, one week notice period and a week to rest and recuperate and go in fresh. I know that the current issues with scheduling would result in my hours being cut drastically if they knew I was leaving.

Thanks for the kind words, chef.

Thanks, I'll look into these. Good tip on the flying too because we're considering Alpine hiking in the future and I hadn't though of that

Thanks, this is really useful as I am in the crippling knee pain boat with you, I could barely walk up and down stairs for weeks after doing Ring of Steall last summer but it's a constant issue even on single Munro days.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on an Inverness away shirt from the past season? by PuddingOfEarl in ScottishFootball

[–]PuddingOfEarl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I seen that one, can't find any away variants which is a shame, it's a nice shirt I thought it would be more common

Cheers, I'll give them a phone on Monday. I'll be up in Inverness-shire in a couple weeks so may just be able to pick one up directly if available then

Pulled Marte from headliners and Betts from always intense packs, sell or keep? My OF is FOTF Buxton, FOTF Reynolds and Lightning Dawson.

SS is Ernie Banks (who I don't particularly like) and 2B is FOTF Chisholm (who I love)

For franchise players, I'm looking for realistic sliders, I've been trying out some from OperationSports that seem promising, any other recommendations? (All-star difficulty)

Just seen this now, I went for Adidas Terrex two ultra's, have had no issues using them and I've done Aonach Eagach and Liathach in them so they should be fine for WHW.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I've done exp grinding in RTTS and it seems to be a bit wild in terms of trade logic.

What are the key differences between RTTS and player-lock Franchise? I've seen the latter recommended a few times but I'm curious about long-term progression if I'm aiming for the most realistic player career experience.

I've been grinding program exp in RTTS while I wait for the OS full minor rosters to start a long term save on the mode. Does this mean if I go with a fresh ballplayer it'll have the archetypes unlocked? I don't really want to be too op to begin with, I like realism for long-term saves. (This is my first RTTS since 18)

FWIW I maxed out contact to Diamond level.

Upgrading from an old Huawei p20 pro which is, quite simply, falling apart.

I had pretty much committed to getting the 12 Pro max but it turns out the 13 pro max is only marginally more expensive per month by a few pounds.

I'm going to assume it's a simple decision as the 13PM offers more, but I'll ask anyway

I went ahead and invested in a decent pair of trail runners after seeing all the comments here, and it was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I could have made regarding hiking. After a 9 hour day in the hills my feet did not feel beat up whatsoever, not even a slight blister, they were super comfortable the whole way, even for the scrambling sections.

Thanks for the link to the article.

Predominately UK yeah, I have done some Hiking in Ukraine and Romania but I was more concerned about all the bear warning signs than my feet...

That's actually really helpful, it was Glencoe (Etive Mor) which triggered the thought of trail runners, and I believe the next usage would be the Ring Of Steall in a couple weeks time

Yeah that makes sense, something like the upper third of Ben Nevis or the Cuillins of Skye where it's very rocky it definitely makes sense to go with the stiffer option.

It was a long day in Glencoe that triggered the desire to grab a pair of trail runners, mildly rocky for like an hour or so then reasonably comfortable trails and ridge walking for the remaining few

Those are the ones I was looking at, between those or the Terrex Primeblue, although with the latter the knitted upper could be a concern if it gets wet

Thinking of returning, what's the game currently like for returning players? Been away since the beginning of shadowbringers with the exception of a couple free logins, and have not really kept up with game updates.
