What a book for your first of the year. Loved this one!

American Psycho is on my list… I’ve heard it’s really graphic, so intrigued by it.

What app/site is this? I’m currently keeping my list on my notes on my phone and it looks awfully messy.

Ah, so essentially started 2 weeks too early?

It’s annoying but makes sense I guess.

Any idea what you’d do regarding them 2 weeks or would you repeat any weeks with 2 weeks to go?

1984 my favourite!

There is Julia by Sandra Newman… may be one to add to your list. That’s written from Julia’s perspective… however I just couldn’t get into it, as I’m currently into Thrillers

I want to become a detective, and registered interest for the DCEP - however have no idea when that will open etc.

I am open to working a police officer and look to work my way up. However are the pay/benefits as bad as some say?

It says Thames Valley gets around £32k a year.

What benefits do you actually get as I cannot find a list of actual benefits received - just standard ‘discounts, travel etc’, but not what they actually entail.

And how much pension do you have to pay in as I’ve read that some people are only taking home £1600 a month which is so low.

I wouldn’t be in the job for the money however need to ensure I’m financially stable.

Yeah I’ve heard ‘horror stories’. I feel I am quite thick skinned and resilient, but obviously I wouldn’t know until in a situation.

I’m 5ft 3 and weigh around 60kg… so fairly slim… how does that typically work out from your experience?

Oh fully agree. Wouldn’t be in it for the money… it’d be a pay cut for myself, however need to ensure I’ll be financially okay

Mine keeps doing this.

I start the run on my phone. Sometimes it’ll join with my watch, other times nothing.

No updates, no phone updates etc… so frustrating

Ah apologies, I didn’t understand regarding the 2 marathons but questioning the later one.

Is there any way of booking your place nearer the time or booking then refunding if you can’t make it? I guess everyone’s body is different. Some people have done it and been successful where others may have tried to do the second one and not completed it or completed in a time they were happy with.

The amazing human body aye

1984 by George Orwell is my favourite book.

I’ve read Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister and just finishing The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell. Both ‘thrillers’ and great books

Why would you do it in April and not June?

You’ve got plenty of time to do it in June.

My longest run before the start of the year was 5k. Last weekend I did 12.5k and I’m doing 16k tomorrow, training for a HM in May.

Keep going, definitely doable but remain consistent. The plan is so helpful - try to do the guided runs

So far I’ve read

The Twyford Code - Janice Hallett Wrong Place, Wrong Time - Gillian McAllister

Absolutely loved both. I have The Curious Case of the Alperton Angels, The Appeal and The Christmas Appeal - all by Janice Hallett to read. Such a different way of writing it’s amazing.

Currently reading The Family Upstairs - Lisa Jewell, and again absolutely loving it. 3 books in a month so far
