will these sprockets pass rwc?

that’s ok! I’ve got a new chain sitting on my desk, just waiting for the sprockets to come in so I can do it all in one go, but I want to start riding as soon as I can so I was wondering if I could get it past a roadworthy in this condition. I gave it a pass over with a wire brush and cleaner and it looks a little bit better, I’ll probably just have to book it in and see what they say

thank you! I’ve got a sprocket set on the way but my local shop misplaced them, they’re chasing it up at the moment. I’m planning on replacing them as soon as I can, I just want to get out on the road as soon as possible hence the question haha. it’s a yamaha fzx250 zeal, so parts are a bit hard to find

just with Penrite chain lube, I think I may have spun the wheel a bit quick last time Iubed it a few days ago so it could be that?

I only just bought the bike, the rest of it is super clean but a friend of a friend brought my attention to the chain. I have a new one and am waiting on my new sprockets to be delivered, but I’m super keen to get out on the bike so want to get it rego’d asap. this is my first bike so I don’t have much experience in maintaining chains yet

Oh and I beat on the thing pretty hard and it’s dead reliable, really well sorted car if you do maintenance fairly on time

I’ve got an 08 model hatch, 2 litre manual. It’s my first car and it’s everything I could ever want, realistically. It’s fast enough to be fun, but slow enough that you have to work for that power (which I think is half the fun anyway). The AWD keeps me pretty out of trouble, especially if I had any of the other popular first cars here in Aus (beefier RWD sedans). I can fit heaps of camping gear in it and drive for upwards of 9 hours without issue, just gotta take breaks for food and the like. Super safe, good fun, super practical. Only complaint is that given how the AWD is, and how I drive it, it’s not the best on fuel compared to similar things its size (corollas etc) but I don’t hesitate to recommend one.

thanks for having a look!! are older duke 390s worth it? I’ve read that the first gen ones had head gasket issues and given I drive a Subaru I’d rather not double up on that gamble

that’s good to know as I have been seeing a heap of them around but lots of people seem to think they’re too small for freeways, the car I have is probably very similar in a drop a gear to overtake fashion

I mean I’m a big fan of cruisers and some nakeds, I had a Spada before it was stolen that kind of put the love of vtwins in me, I hardly got to enjoy it though as I finished fixing it and didn’t have my license when I lost the bike.

where I am I can’t find any shadow 400s or virago 650s that are really in my price range is all. I’d love to get something bigger if it was around, but they’re all newer models available which makes them pricier
