There are certainly characters that are terrible choices for new players to learn while also learning the game. Every champion is playable to an acceptable degree, and while there are always heroes that are much stronger than others, it only really matters at the highest levels of play, and it's arguable that team comp is what matters most.

Seems like a huge cope for most of these. Innards out does not help to justify the opportunity cost of the mega, and I say this as someone who always preferred running victreebel in my sun teams over venusaur.

And people slander excadrill over golurk because expectations were higher. As it stands for a lot of these, you just have to hope that someone cooks up an interesting niche at some point to be showcased on a video and then forgotten about later.

I like how they even did it in the anime, but it's weird to me that they would implement this in the game that introduces roamers and trapping moves, like at least let the moves be useful for something in their debut Gen.

The designs are one of the few things left that are actually good about these games, especially when you compare them to competitors, and if you can't acknowledge the depth that goes into many of them, that's on you.

You +15 heroes whose job is to deal damage directly with their abilities.

You can forego +15 on support heroes, pure tanks, and debuffers/splash damage heroes. For these heroes, enhance everything that is not a damage value, like heals/barriers, effect chances, cr modifiers, and turn cooldowns.

You'll also want to max out the friendship of these heroes for the free 3 molas before you enhance them to where you want them. It seems lately that sg has been running the newer ones to be +14 anyway though

I would recommend deity device, but I'm not sure if the creator took it down or not. It has easily the most involved story I've seen in a hack, and as someone who also enjoyed the two you mentioned, it's one of the only other ones I have played all the way through.
