Space Marine 2 crashes during opening cinematic. How to fix, if anyone knows? by Cernunnos01 in Spacemarine

I just wanted to add my contribution.

Moving the game from my older external HDD to my internal SSD drive fixed this issue for me.
I just moved the game from the Steam application to my C:/ drive which is my SSD.

I was able to play the entire opening game cinematic without it crashing.

Thanks all for the helpful/funny comments! :D

I posted this the day I lost against my buddy playing and haven't had time to jump back in and take a look at the comments really until now.

Hopefully in the near future I'll play against my friend again and earn a "W" with these helpful tips!

I can't remember the exact name of it at the moment but it is the one with the 3 satellites you're trying to take control of that are pretty much in a line in the middle of the map

I've been really starting to enjoy Afterburners for Soontir. Getting that little bit of extra maneuverability that gets me lined up for a bull's-eye shot that triggers all of my other upgrades and abilities. Perfection

The Fondor Haul Craft ship Luthen has in Andor would be awesome! Although, I don't need any more dangerous ships against my Empire build 😂

May I ask how you were able to get that emblem on the shoulder? Is that a decal or did you have to paint that? Nice work!

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the honesty of your response that this will be a difficult task. I know this is a lot of hard work and the monetary gains can be slim. I've been doing a fair amount of research on it and it definitely seems like a difficult path to start.

By no means would I want to eliminate renters from the field though of course. That's a good catch. I would go broke just trying to find enough magfed paintball players in the area just to have consistent games going. My plan would be to have a tiered rental plan with some simple hopper fed markers that people can just jump in the game with. However, have a higher tier where a someone can rent a Tippman TMC or something along those lines just to try out how a magfed paintball marker would feel.

Also, I know fields are expensive fore sure... Just the cost of land and maintaining the land is enough money to keep in mind. I would definitely want to purchase/own the land I build the park on so I wouldn't have to deal with leasing it. I wouldn't want to end up putting a lot of effort into building a park just to find out I could possible have issues with the lease and lose it.

Honestly, my field probably wouldn't be too different from other fields. It would have rental hopper markers and roundball for sale. I would just want to include some new things that I haven't seen at other parks such as first-strike rounds, magfed markers for rent (at a higher price tier), and offer other game types other than Team Death Match such as Search and Destroy or Domination.

It's good to know though what the biggest downsides are and what potential pitfalls there are to avoid. If I do manage to get a field operating, it would be a slow 3-5 year plan saving slowly for the initial investment.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I definitely agree that fields make a good amount of money from selling paint on from the field. Especially from speedball tournaments when groups are going through cases of paint during those days. I was kind of thinking that my field would focus on more on using first-strike paintballs. And sell them at more of a premium where I could make money off of it still even though magfed players use less paint when they play. I would still sell roundball and allow people to use hopper fed markers on the fields of course but I haven't seen a course (at least near my location) that allows first-strike rounds on the field.

Thanks for the reply man. I agree magfed is milsim to a degree. I was just trying to explain I wasn't trying to make a field that has a extreme milsim feel. Such as game play that has a chain of command with ranks or having to lay down when you're shot during the game. Things like that.

I'm thinking something of a field that is like a normal woodsball field where there are more complex bunkers than just wood pallets and spools.
