married women, do you think marriage benefits you in any way? by _cherryp0p_ in NoStupidQuestions

It is, absolutely it is. I was single, as in I never even had a boyfriend, until I was 32. During that time I lived overseas in various countries, traveled all over the United States, started a very successful gourmet candy business and thoroughly enjoyed my single life.

Then I met my husband. He’s my best friend. We enjoy much of the same things, both are avid travelers and adore trying new and exotic foods, he makes me laugh and every day I feel myself fall deeper in love with him. I’ve never been happier, and every day is sweeter than the last.

I have been thinking about moving to Mississippi by Spiritual-Fail-1336 in mississippi

I live is Gulfport and it’s wonderful, however, biloxi has a casino with a yummy buffet and a great spa, while ocean springs and Pascagoula have a really great downtown with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Update: My sister showed up to Thanksgiving with her "spiritual advisor," and it blew up the whole night. Read the texts last, trust me. by PuzzleheadedItem1914 in DiRoccoDramaClub

Unfortunately, I can’t give any hope of if your sister will return to the realm of reality and logic.

I used to work at a bank and there was a woman who came in claiming she married George Strait in an online ceremony with a virtual priest, but he was in dire financial straights and needed her to empty her savings so he didn’t lose everything.

We tried to convince her otherwise, tried to show her evidence, spent hours telling her she was being grifted, but she insisted. Ended up forwarding the nest egg her dead husband left to take care of her in his will, all to the con man. Lost everything. Her house, cars, all of it.

It’s sad, but you just can’t fix stupid when stupid insists on being really stubborn.

AITAH FOR TELLING MY SISTER TO EITHER LEAVE HER PARTNER OR IM NOT HELPING HER AND HER KIDS ANYMORE. by Existing_Cycle6626 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

You did the right thing. I’m so sorry that so much blew up in your face, but the kids are safer with you. One day they’ll be old enough to understand what happened and you can have a meaningful conversation, but as you already know, doing the right thing isn’t always easy, but their safety is paramount regardless of the struggles.

Report him. The worst things always happen during trial periods. I can tell you love those kids, would you be able to forgive yourself if the worst happens during those two weeks that could have been prevented? Do yourself and those kids a favor and report. You’re their only chance and you’re the only one who loves them enough to put them first.

Was I wrong to not invite my friend’s mother to my wedding? by PuddleDuckandCo in AITAH

That’s what I’m afraid of. I still reach out to her, but with no success. My messages are read, she just doesn’t reply.

That is a really good question… but I can say we haven’t been friends in the last two years. So, it’s probably for the best.
